Description

Trauma is an integral part of the human condition.  Everyone will experience hurt and pain.  Souls incarnate in this very dense and challenging plane, three-dimension Earth, for growth.  Intense soul growth can be the purpose of trauma.  But how do we grow?  How do we heal from trauma?  Through forgiveness.  In Finding Forgiveness: Surprising Healing from the Higher Self, Holly Duckworth shares wisdom from the Higher Self on a process for forgiveness.

She has gleaned this wisdom from her practice facilitating Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT®) for more than a decade.  QHHT® is Dolores Cannon’s modality of hypnosis.  Working with hundreds of clients in the deepest level of trance, in conversation with the Higher Self, she has learned this sacred forgiveness process.  It is an alchemy turning human trauma into soul growth.

Continuing from her prior book, Finding Purpose: Surprising Wisdom from the Higher Self, Holly shares more wisdom from the Higher Self.  In this second part of the trilogy, Holly explores, perhaps, the most important tool for healing – forgiveness.  From “Them”, she has been given a 4-step process to heal through forgiveness: see, accept, release, and move.  In Finding Forgiveness: Surprising Healing from the Higher Self, she shares this process in detail along with client session segments and other insights presenting eternal and universal wisdom about healing from the trauma of the human condition.

Acknowledgments
There are so many beings, on this side of the veil and the other, tos thank for helping to bring this work to fruition. I would like to thank, first and foremost, the Higher Self, the aspect of my QHHT® clients that I get to connect with in a session. The wisdom in these pages is Theirs. I am only the messenger. And it has been my honor to share their wise words with you. I would like to thank all my QHHT® clients for showing up to their healing and allowing me to be a part of the process. I am so grateful for my work. I’d like to thank Dolores Cannon, Julia Cannon, and Suzanne Spooner, my dear teachers in QHHT®.
I would like to acknowledge Meredith Rose, aka @bluestarseed, for her glorious artwork that graces the cover of this book. My office is full of her art. She also created the cover of "Finding Purpose: Surprising Wisdom from the Higher Self". And if she’s willing, her talent will also be on the cover of the next book in this trilogy.
For the work of creating this book, I would like to thank my husband, Gene, for his patience and support during the process.
And most importantly, I would like to acknowledge those who have been a part of my forgiveness process. This includes those who have shown me hurt and pain to allow me to learn forgiveness for my soul’s growth; and those who have shown me forgiveness for my many mistakes.

Prologue
IF YOU ARE reading this book, you are human. And therefore, subject to the human condition. Welcome to the party!
The human condition is fraught with trauma. A human life is dangerous. We are vulnerable creatures. We are a violent species. We are fearful. We hurt each other. And we are aware of our mortality. This is a challenging circumstance, to be a human.
Through my psychotherapy and hypnosis practice, I get to work with people who are interested in healing from trauma. In a very sacred and intimate setting, through Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique TM , I get to know people through a deep conversation with their small self, the ego-self. And, in hypnosis, I get to know the same person through healing conversations with the Higher Self, the soul. I have the privilege of witnessing the wisdom of the Higher Self. And I will be sharing this wisdom with you in this book.
I think one of the greatest stories of forgiveness is Nelson Mandela’s life. Born into a tribal life of the Thembu clan, his lineage was to serve as an advisor to tribal chiefs. His early rural life was one of care, concern, and responsibility. Even in his youth, he had great aspirations for himself. He was educated in Christian missionary schools. He became a partner in the first black African law firm in Johannesburg. And, later he was a leader in the African National Congress, an organization fighting for the freedom of black Africans.
He lived in oppressive racist circumstances. Here’s a bit about what he was fighting for - a peek into apartheid. In his autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom , Mandela writes, "It was a crime to walk through a Whites Only door, a crime to ride a Whites Only bus, a crime to use a Whites Only drinking fountain, a crime to walk on a Whites Only beach, a crime to be on the streets past eleven, a crime to not have a passbook and a crime to have the wrong signature in that book, a crime to be unemployed and a crime to be employed in the wrong place, a crime to live in certain places and a crime to have no place to live." It was even a crime to offer unauthorized education. A gathering of more than ten Africans was illegal. In his youth, Mandela states in his autobiography, "I had no epiphany, no singular revelation, no moment of truth, but a steady accumulation of a thousand slights, a thousand indignities, a thousand unremembered moments, produced in me an anger, a rebelliousness, a desire to fight the system that imprisoned my people."
Sentenced to life as a political prisoner for his freedom fighting, he was eventually jailed for 27 years, from August 5, 1962, to February 11, 1990. He missed the childhood of his children. He didn’t touch his wife’s hand for 21 years. In those years he became a public symbol of rebellion and struggle. He had every reason to be bitter, hateful, and vengeful. And yet, Mandela said, upon the day of his final release, "I was abused. I didn’t get to see my children grow up. I lost my marriage and the best years of my life. I was angry. And I was afraid because I had not been freed in so long. But as I got closer to the car that would take me away, I realized that when I went through that gate, if I still hated them, they would still have me. I wanted to be free. And so I let it go."
Nelson Mandela, with 27 years of his life taken away, living atrocious oppression before and during his imprisonment - if he can forgive, the rest of us can. He is a beacon of the potential of forgiveness. He was elected the first black president of South Africa in 1994 and was the one who led the dismantling of the apartheid system. Had he been mired in hurt and pain, could he have led this massive change? Had he been attached to his trauma could he inspire black-and-white reconciliation? I doubt it. His ability to forgive gave him the power and the credibility to inspire this monumental change. Nelson Mandela is an icon of the power of forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a weakness. It is not about being resigned to submission. It is a force to be reckoned with. Forgiveness is power.
In the following pages, I will be sharing stories about metaphysical knowledge and spiritual experiences revealed to me as a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique TM (QHHT® ) practitioner. During QHHT® sessions, the practitioner has a conversation with the Higher Self. This is the eternal part of you, the part that knows everything about you. Some may call it the soul, the superconscious, the central self, or the true self. Yes, my day job involves talking to souls. It is an amazing, beautiful, and profound blessing to be able to do this. Every day at the office is yet another miracle in which I participate!
As of this writing, I’ve been a QHHT® practitioner for about 10 years. Many of my clients have come to this process for healing - physical healing, emotional healing, and soul healing. And working with hundreds of people who don’t know each other and know nothing about each other’s sessions, I have found remarkable similarities while witnessing this healing. As the Higher Self speaks through individual clients, the messages are consistently universal and enlightened.
Rarely, a session doesn’t touch on the topic of forgiveness. The Higher Self seems to find forgiveness an extremely powerful path to healing. And I’ve seen this type of healing so often that I’ve discerned a 4-step process. That’s what I’ll be sharing in detail in this book, the process by which the Higher Self administers healing through forgiveness. Now, each client’s trauma is a bit different. We always want to find out why a traumatic experience happened. We always want to understand the purpose of the experience (and there is always a purpose!). Only after we thoroughly explore the "why" do I then ask the Higher Self if it is appropriate to heal the trauma, energetically. They do. I’ll then ask what advice they have, moving forward. How does "Brian" continue with his healing after the session? Most of the time, the Higher Self will say - "forgiveness". I’ll ask the Higher Self, how can "Brian" forgive? I will usually get an answer involving these four steps: SEE the experience from all perspectives, ACCEPT the experience as necessary and important, energetically RELEASE the experience, and then MOVE forward.
Forgiveness says you are given another chance to make a new beginning.

Now, I’d like to share this sacred wisdom on forgiveness with you. I will share some quotes from teachers who have helped me grow and who have been important to me in my greater understanding: Rumi, Carl Jung, and Nelson Mandela. I’ll also be sharing some QHHT® session stories and excerpts. When I share session information, I very carefully alter key identifiers such as names and gender pronouns to preserve client anonymity. While the nature of these stories is authentic, any information that could potentially identify a client has been altered. All information in a QHHT® session is strictly private, and I have worked to protect my clients’ privacy here.
Thank you for joining me in exploring this knowledge. It is my privilege to be able to share it with you. QHHT® sessions are very intimate and the information that comes
