PREFACE
The purpose of this work is to present to professionals of the visual sciences the results obtained in the research of anatomical dimensions of the multiple structures of the eye obtained in vivo. This research was completed through utilizing current auxiliary instruments in ophthalmological diagnosis that utilized microns as units and thus, allowed obtaining high optical resolution images.
The figures obtain through this research may not coincide with the traditional concepts. It is necessary to take into consideration factors that may cause tissue modifications such as race, age, physiological variants and changes caused by various pathologies. It is important to note that in addition to image, a thorough investigation with a complete clinical history is required in order to obtain a more conclusive diagnosis
New technological tools that are constantly improving accuracy have allowed us to discover tissues and structures, explore new spaces, define measurements and evolve concepts.
