Description

As you walk among people in every hierarchical and demographic circle it is unavoidable. People are experiencing and feeling within themselves a numbness and tiredness that they never felt before. They explain it as something indescribable but when they start chatting with each other, it begins to sound eerily similar. For example, a common statement people are saying nowadays is Wow! The months are flying by so fast! I feel like it was just weeks ago we were celebrating New Years Eve. Or, Oh my goodness! I feel so tired! And I sleep eight hours daily! Many people are experiencing today a flood of inconceivable worries, fears, and disasters. I go many places and start a conversation with people and listen to their problems and emotions. The majority of people are suffering silently inside and trying to convince others that all is wellbut its not. To compound it further, theres extreme temptation of luring certain individuals into living a lifestyle that they simply cant afford. Hope is disintegratingvanishingand being manipulated.During the Great Depression back in the days, people at least had hope in God. The excessive broadcasting of the end of the world theme in films during the past decade is intentional. Also, the battle between good and evil is intensifying. Why?What you should know is there are many people who are trying to get your attention. To divulge the truthAre you listening? Or too busy with what you think is important or entertainingbut in reality is not.Exploring the What Ifs questions Christians avoid talking about. Is living in denial and darkness the best way to survive on this Earth?

Dedications
To my “very” patient family, thanks for your support and understanding.
My father Raoul Edugene, reinforced and motivated me that I and my sisters could succeed in anything we wanted to do in this world.
To my former students: Yippee! I finally finished it. Like I always say “no more procrastinating…finish what you started if it is good. And, if it is bad - or not what you wanted-make a U-turn and go back and do it over and use your time wisely.”
“Good is good and bad…well, it’s just too bad.” As promised: “It’s Time.”
Preface
I wanted to write children’s books before I wrote this one. My excuse to God was that I should start with a simple book to raise the funds needed to have His book published. I thought about introducing myself nicely to the market before publishing a book that I believed would be controversial and complex. Then Holy brought up a dream to remind me jokingly and telepathically: “ You should stop procrastinating and write ‘the book’ instead of wasting time writing on other subj ects. ”
I started writing this book many years ago then stopped because of work, pursuing another degree, and starting a family. However, whenever I had time, an idea about another book would flourish in my mind and then I would begin writing about those ideas rather than this book. For example, I wrote a funny children’s book about an ant. Yes, a tiny little ant that I thought I should publish first. When Holy said softly: “ You don’t want God to put ants in your pants to finish the book that I wanted you to write. Let “Me” remind you. Didn’t Jesus Christ appear in your dream in a pensive demeanor ? In your dream didn’t you ask Jesus what’s wrong, and you were sadly perturbed by His facial expres sion?”
Jesus replied and told you: “Nah! Nothing is wrong with me; I thought more people would be saved by now.”
Holy said: “ Time is up! You asked Jesus Christ what you could do to help. This is it! Just do it !” Oh! Sorry, I forgot to tell you. Holy is my nickname for the Holy Spirit. We go back to when I was a young teenager. I thought He was my imaginary friend until I became a mature Christian adult and realized Holy was not only my Guide but the Holy Spirit. Yeah! I hear your negative thoughts saying. “You… had an imaginary friend in your teens?” My reply is: Yes, and I still do, Holy forever! In writing this book I learned how to rely on God’s biblical promise, “ But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV)
That took awhile for me to understand, accept, and adapt to what God promised me. Everything I needed I learned and worked hard to procure - all the material things - on my own from a young age. I started working in my early teens. I saved money to buy my first car – a new Toyota. I started my business at the age of sixteen and paid for my college education. However, my early success in business made me lose sight that God was in total control and was helping me behind the scene. My pompous motto back then was when there is a “me” there is a way. Well, the success did not last too long. After a few years of learning the word of God, then, and only then I realized it was God’s goodness, blessings, and divine favor that made me successful.
Throughout the twelve years it took to write this book there were many obstacles and unforeseen problems. But God valiantly kept His promise and provided all that I needed miraculously. This is my mission from God: to share in a conversational format what I learned about God’s goodness, forgiveness, warnings, grace, and love to others.
The following paragraphs are a guide for the reader to understand how to decipher and read this book.
▶ The book is written for all people, but specifically for Christians who are going through the rudiments of Christianity but don’t feel connected fully to the word of God. This book is also for the Christian believers who are contradicting their faith through some of their actions, and the individuals who have heard about God and the story of Jesus Christ but have doubts, concerns, fears, and many unanswered questions that need to be addressed ( like I did ). Some readers hopefully could be of other denominations or beliefs (e.g., Non-Christians, Agnostics).
▶ Throughout the book there will be interjections that may seem out of place but are there for the purpose of making the reader pause to think. For example, many years ago I was part of a group having an interesting conversation with a reputable university professor on a boat ride with my family and friends. We were having a mutual educational, analytical and long discussion about the existence and evidence of God. However, I kept silent until the professor asked me why I was not participating in the conversation. I was not participating because although everyone on the boat were highly educated professionals, the conversation about God was all over the place. What I was hearing was that everything they were saying was not grounded in biblical theology. Then I began addressing some of their statements and sharing my knowledge of God based on what I understood from the Holy Bible. The professor, who stated that he was an atheist debated, accepted and even concurred with some of my explanations of God, but ended our debate with the following statement. He said: “God is too good to be true.”
▶ The inserted paragraph about the boat ride with the professor may seem out-of-place, but is planted to support the (Non-Christians and Agnostics) statement before in the previous paragraph that needed a brief clarification and not a full chapter. There will be such examples throughout the book.
▶ There are many sections of the book where I will be talking directly to some readers in their own language, dialects, slangs, and foreign language. But I will have the translation in English as well. As the readers progress halfway through the book there will be a series of short skits written for fun, and as a satire in a laid-back style. These sections should not be viewed as confrontational or grammatically incorrect (just like reading a poem, play, or literature).
▶ I will interject my comments, quotes, colloquialism, and passages from the Bible throughout this book up until the ending. This is done to clarify, answer, and support my statements to the reader.
▶ The use of ellipsis… is intentionally used as a “pause” to induce the reader into thinking about the rest of the phrase.
▶ There may be some paragraphs where it may seem that I am upset and scolding the reader. It is meant with no disrespect but out of love only. Because I feel an urgency that the “fat lady has sung” and God’s deadline is here. But we are still waiting for an ending.
Chapter 1
Amid the psychedelic chaos that we are examining, we are perched on a precipice of surreal astonishment, as we whimsically try to balance ourselves on the trampoline of normalcy. All the while throughout the ordeal of trying to live life in peace with no wars and financial chaos, we clench our eyelids and silently scream our lungs out, and try to convince ourselves like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz “ there is no place like home. ” We are hoping that a soft wind of hope and encouragement would awaken us, but instead we find ourselves suddenly startled by a crashing wave of real
