For example, “To have a friend, is to be one.” The “being” comes before the “having.”

The Intimate Blend shares life principles and provides suggestions for ways to explore the possibilities of intimacy and then enhance connections throughout the various seasons of life.

T his little book is dedicated to all those boys and girls and men and women who have joined me in my journey throughout my life, which now covers eight decades. Some of these friendships are good, some close, and a few of the highest quality have been forged with an intimate blend. Many have wooed me out of my prison of separateness into the joy of belonging and oneness. How sweet it is and how personally fulfilling to feel bonded to another through such authentic connections. For years and even decades we have experienced life together. These generous souls have helped me grow beyond the confines of my own personality and the limits of my own experience, reaching out to me on different levels to share interesting and worthy endeavors such as catching crickets for bait in a vacant lot in 1948 to touring Israel in 2016. I’ve grown, changed, matured, and been challenged. With a grateful heart, I’ve soaked up the time spent with these companions who have enhanced my life, offering substance and dimension most often without recompense, recognition, or reward. Personal sacrifice and unconditional love were offered as we learned from each other progressing toward oneness and an intimate blend.
Seek to blend, merge, and mesh with another in a quest for oneness and an intimate blend. In so doing, bridge the gulf of separateness with less silence and solitude and more listening, learning, and loving.
