Description

Over the years, it became increasing clear, that if the Christian faith is really true, it is not being given the seriousness of what we profession. As an example, there are aspects of the Christian faith that are very comforting: the love of God. There are also aspects of the faith that are hard to fully grasp: the immutable holiness of God. These two aspects of God's nature coexist in God's perfect nature; neither of which can ever be diminished or compromised. Therefore, this gives rise to a perceived problem: how can God love sinners and still remain uncompromisingly holy? This book explores the wonders of God's salvific work to bring sinners into a right standing with Himself. In this book, you will find the straightforward answer to the way of salvation, the motivations to live a life that is eternally meaningful, and explore essential doctrines that have been neglected.

DEDICATIONS
I first want to thank my Savior, Jesus Christ, for His willingness to sacrifice His life on the cross, so I can have an assured eternal salvation.
I want to dedicate this book to my cherished wife, Kim. Thank you for being my bride for over 40 years. I am thankful that I can traverse this life with you. It has not always been easy, but there is no one I would rather share the journey with.
To our three children: Jillian, Katelin and Christopher. Thank you for loving me as your dad. Your childhood passed too quickly, but it was the best part of our life.
Lastly, our grandchildren: Donovan, Daylen, Beckett, Quinn, and Brexley Ann. The joy of being a grandparent is the best. All the fun and few of the responsibilities. Hopefully, this list will grow, because grandchildren are the best.
INTRODUCTION TO THE BOOK
In this book, you will find a straightforward answer to the way of Salvation; the satisfaction of God’s Holiness, via the atonement, provided by our Savior: Jesus Christ. This need for our salvation is because we do not measure up to God’s absolute and perfect holiness. He is immutable in His holiness: meaning He cannot change His nature. This book explains God’s grand plan for the salvation of the world. It is an exclusive way through the God/man, Jesus Christ. He says: “For I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 NIV
A beginning note: As you read this book, you will find repeated references to the holiness of God. As you continue through the pages, you may feel that I am overdoing the emphasis on this attribute; as it comes up repeatedly throughout the pages. It is addressed so often, that you may believe it is excessive, and overdone. This emphasis is often intertwined with my cognitive struggles over the implications of this aspect of God’s nature; since it is a very hard concept to fully grasp. As I was finishing the manuscript, I took mental note of my usage of this theme. I am very aware of this emphasis. I even thought of removing some of my references to this aspect of God’s nature, believing I may have overdone it. That it was too intensely emphasized. After additional reflection, I realized that it is impossible to overestimate the significance of this attribute. It needed to be left in the book as I had originally intended. How can we ever overemphasize this aspect of God’s nature: His perfect immutable holiness, and those resulting implications?
PREFACE TO THE REVISED EDITION
I knew when I published my original book it needed additional work. Now, after having been published, I have the benefit of feedback from readers. This has allowed me to reflect, add new theological thoughts, and make numerous corrections to the manuscript. All of which, I believe, add to the strength of the updated addition. Even now, I know the book is lacking the strength of a professionally written book. It was never a book to impress, nor to make money. I wanted to pass on the importance of my faith. When the first edition came out, I accepted the cost and gave the first hundred copies away as a witnessing ministry. I wanted -in particular- to have a permanent record of my insights into these critical truths. Spiritual truths that I could pass on to my children, grandchildren, and to other family members and friends. The Lord has given me numerous blessings, but without the salvation of my family, those blessings ring hollow. This was a major reason for my writing of this book. It was more in line with the thought: this is true, and I want you to know.
The feedback I received has been interesting. It was not as I fully expected. I anticipated some would disagree, without a clearly defined justification for why. That many would not like the ramifications of my conclusions. Most seemed to want to avoid thinking about the implications of what was written; I understand this thinking. I suspected that my conclusions would trouble many. I wondered if I was too raw, too honest, or if people were too uncomfortable with the subject. To be clear, I don’t humanly desire these conclusions either. These ramifications are just the natural results of the Christian faith being true. Even though I believe the implications of the Christian faith should be obvious for those who understand and accept the faith, they are hard truths to accept. I believe I laid out strong arguments to justify my conclusions. I recognized that some truths go to the soul of a person. But it is the most preeminent question of all time: where does one spend eternity? Furthermore, there is clear tension between this world we know, and our desires for the things of this world, and the sacrifices one is called to make because our faith is credible; this urgent need to advance the faith. We need to be constantly reminded that those efforts we undertake sharing our faith, may change the eternal destination of those to whom we witness; therefore, well worth the effort. I also present clear teachings on the enhancement of our glorification: by being devout followers of Christ. There are also serious warnings for those who neglect the faith, or compromise with the moral teachings of the scriptures. But within these warnings, there is presented the clear teaching, that these warnings do not include our eternal destiny. We are once for all saved at the very moment of faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ on the cross. I hope you take this journey with me. It takes an elevated degree of faith to see why the sacrifice of our personal comforts, for an unseen wo
