How to Avoid the 10 Mistakes Single Women Make
Everyone who reads this book will probably have a few nerves touched by Michelle s raw honesty-I know I certainly did. However, having our beliefs challenged when they are keeping us from God s best is, while not easy, a necessary and good thing. I look forward to having my thoughts challenged by more of Michelle s refreshing candor in the future.

The Diva Principle
Pulling examples of divas from the Bible, Michelle McKinney Hammond shows how each woman can become a diva. But it will take some elbow grease Becoming a diva is not an easy job. According to Ms. Hammond, a diva is a woman who always thirsts for knowledge and wisdom. She is willing to step out of her comfort zone to do what needs to be done. A diva encourages others to be all they can be. She accepts God s higher calling for her life. A diva knows her strengths and works on her weaknesses. She knows how to handle basic areas of life such as finances, dressing, cooking, and housekeeping. A diva is confident in herself and happy with how God designed her.

The Last Ten Percent (a novel)
This is not a sappy, preachy attempt to convey Christian themes to the reader. The Last Ten Percent deals with humiliating, ugly things in life and brings the reader to the point where they want to see these ladies find love in Christ alone. I can t say enough great things about this story. It s a must-read in my book! Check it out!

To Daryl Martin (breeder extraordinaire) for giving me two of the most wonderful gifts I ve ever received.

How It All Began
Take a look at that photo. That s me with Milan and Matisse. I still laugh when I think back through the years and realize how far I ve come since the days when I didn t own a dog and certainly had no plans to acquire one.
Me with a dog? No way! Me with two dogs? Now that s a real laugh. But then something happened something I never anticipated. God surprised me in a way I hadn t dreamed of. That s the story I want to tell you in this book. It s about how I started at dogs are fine for you, but unless they do windows or perform some other beneficial function I don t see the point of owning one. I ended up not only adopting Milan and Matisse but learning from them. And not just about life, but about love and about God and the way He sees us. As the book title says, Lessons from a girl s best friend.
Most of the important things in my life have been as a result of God s surprises. I never planned to be a single woman for so long. I never planned to leave my fast-paced job in the advertising world to become an author. Who knew I d end up impacting the lives of women all over the world and even cohosting an Emmy award-winning television show! But now, more than a decade and 31 books later, I m still amazed at the divine surprises that have changed my life and filled me with unexpected delight and satisfaction. Perhaps the biggest surprise of all is that I m now writing a book about dogs, my beloved shih tzus Milan and Matisse.
Call me a hopeful romantic, but I ve always believed in the power of love to heal, stimulate, and empower people to be their best. Love colors our world in various shades that affect our moods, the things we do and say, and how we live. Love can invite victory or chaos into our personal world. That s what got me writing in the first place. I was a miserable single, and my pain sent me on
