Chapter 1 Moment of Complete Surrender

Resignation to Divine will
Placing our life in the hands of the almighty God, means we are surrendering completely our will to Him. When our life is in His hands, there is more bliss, tranquility, blessedness, more joy to experience being away from harm, worries, fear, loneliness and depression.
Upon waking up in the morning the first thing you need to do after reciting your prayer is to make a complete resignation of your will to the divine will, if you choose to do that your life is being attuned to God’s will and peace will flow into your heart, mind body and soul. Your burden becomes light as you struggle about health, finances, business, and difficulties. It gives you great relief and comfort while His hands are working for you.
Surrendering is not a sign of weakness but an act of trust. What does it mean when you surrender? By surrendering your life to Jesus Christ, you are allowing Him to enter into your life to guide your will and supersede your human power.
If one day you have these feelings that you cannot handle the burdens of the day on your own, you are subjugated, extremely tired, all consumed and soaked to the skin, empty, yet you still want to fight against the hostile, antagonistic situations that are intimidating you but still you fail
No matter what you do you cannot solve your problem alone or control your circumstances you need a mighty and powerful hand that can crack it out for you, no amount of human struggle can fix your problem except Him. It is in this moment that you need to surrender.
The problem may be huge, but it is in that huge problem where God is present in your life. It is through this problem that draws you closer to Him, He is very much aware of what you are undergoing at this very moment of your life no matter what it is and He is not too far from reach.
By letting Him to take over, you are acknowledging His supernatural powers to prevail, your situation improves, you become stronger, you survive all earth’s injustices, imbalances and life becomes wonderful.
By refusing to surrender because of pride, you live your life according to your own ways not His ways and continue to struggle for unanswered solutions.
You can ask God to take all what He has given you all that you have treasured, cherished and appreciated, your freedom, wisdom, memory, understanding and will. Surrender all these to be guided by His will. In so doing, you cannot ask for anything more, His guidance, His grace, His love are more than wealth enough. When He grants His divine guidance, grace and love on you can’t ask for more.
As Mother Theresa asserted “ Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in His love than in your own weak ness ”
When everything you feel is ostensibly impossible or the challenges in life are greater than you could possibly overcome, just offer it to Him and you will find how the door of possibility opens.
When you entrust your life in His hands, you find life a little lighter, less wearisome and fearless.
Just as before Jesus died on the cross, He surrendered His life to God, the Father. “ Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Father, into your hands, I commend my spirit.” (Luke 2 3:46).
Instead of absorbing thoughts that life is unwarranted and irreparable resolve with the reality that there is always comfort after agony, alleviation after suffering, happiness after tears, sweet after bitter, rest after weariness and sunshine after rain. God is always there to share and to lighten the burdens of your day.
God is in control
If your approach or strategy is not working no matter how much mastery you have put into it that means you are not in control but the higher power up there. How can man say he is in control of his destiny when he doesn’t even know what will happen to him tomorrow or the day after but God knows what’s coming next He knows what direction to lead us He is the only one who can control our destiny with divine purpose and plan in His hand.
When you lose being in control just stay, and live life with Him, follow the normal flow of your life in a simple and peaceful way, He will supply you with wisdom that you need to cope up with. It is in surrendering that you let the divine power be in control, you must let go and God will take over He will catch you, clasp you so you don’t fall. It is only by placing your trust and surrendering your fate and emotion to the supreme spirit will you survive all crisis and trouble. It is only through faith that despair and pain become endurable and acceptable.
When we Say God is in control of our circumstances, He is still the ruler despite what is happening, He guides and saves us and He only allows certain amount of human will to rule. Man’s free will is still dependent on the power of God’s will.
“Take this cup away from me, not my will but what you will.” (Mark 1 4:36)
The moment you place your life into His hands and you surrender completely, your faith is superseding, your heart and spirit will be filled with hope and peace trusting His hand carrying, nurturing and in control of everything all dominant all- powerful that fright and apprehension can’t ever take place.
With the touch of His powerful hands He can heal your illness and bring your health back. He can touch your soul, so you can be compassionate and understanding with others, He can touch your heart so you can love and be gentle too. He can touch your mind so you can have wisdom that you can always acknowledge Him as your creator, the king and center of all hearts, and you can reconcile with Him with confidence when you are in conflict, isolated and troubled. His hands are full of tenderness and mercy. He can touch your heart so you can attain your desires.
In your daily existence, you struggle to fight, to show your superiority to all forces but you also have bounds and limitations and when you reach that crucial moment of your life when your human strength is exhausted and cannot fight anymore, then begin to succumb yourself to the divine power and fix your eyes in faith and you will see that life’s tragedy, sorrow, irony and defeat will easily be lifted.
No matter how powerful you are as a human being, whatever status or position you hold in society, even you hold the highest and the most powerful rank, that power in your hands is still restricted, you are still imperfect and weak because there is only one powerful hand. Man is nothing in contrast to God’s greatness.
Just when man thought that he has almost everything being endowed with enormous wealth, talent, popularity and inexhaustible spirit that he didn’t have to implore anymore for divine power for mercy, be conscious that this is not true because there will always be a moment in his life when he needs to grasp for something his human soul cannot reach.
When worry becomes powerful
Whenever worry attacks you, combat it with prayer. You just have to remain in faith. It is only through faith that you see the finiteness of your world and your own mortality. Worry is very powerful and it has dark side too. It damages your spirit and weakens you until you are down with no more strength to fight with determination.
