NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
I did not use traditional translations of the Quran, because many do not convey a precise understanding of the verses. Instead, I translated the Quranic text from Arabic (my mother tongue) into English in a way that conveys how the verses are understood and interpreted by most Islamic scholars. In addition, because there are no formal rules for transliterating Arabic into English, I used the most common spellings found in Google searches. I hope by doing so I have made it easier for readers who wish to delve more deeply into the background of the names and concepts discussed in the text.
