As the words in these writings, originated from many a discussion, study, observation, and contemplative thought, all of which ultimately originates from universal consciousness, they cannot be ‘owned’ by any man, just as a piece of earth that has been around since the beginning of time, cannot realistically be ‘owned’ by any one man either. The compilation of these words, thoughts, views, conclusions and ideas, call it what you will, may be considered to be as ‘unique’, but these too are based on the influence of preceding elements, which included the conscious intelligence of countless others, people and beings, and these can as such therefore, not realistically be ‘owned’ either. Gnosis is and remains the birthright of every man, woman and child, who has opted to choose consciously, and to enhance this and the self, through study, work and living a correct and fruitful life. There is therefore no copyright on the contents of this book. It is however stated that the ‘author’, as the custodian of it and its contents, authorizes the use of these words by others as they wish, provided it is not for profit or material gain.

INTRODUCTION
To know the world, you must first know yourself.
To know yourself, you must be sincere in your studies to understand,
and accept and forgive for that which you are,
and love what is, unconditionally.
This was the purpose of Book I, The Inner Evolution of Man .
In Book II, The Outer World of Man , we view the world around man, within which he lives, but not intellectually;
we intuitively follow the laws of nature, reason and logic.
The purpose of this book is not to know the world so that we can change it, as we know from unbiased observation, and a study of history,
the simple truth is that it cannot be changed.
The purpose of this book is to know the world of man, but not ‘what’ it is,
as this ‘what’ is always in flux and changes, constantly.
It is so that we can truthfully understand why it is what it is,
how it has come to be, and if we are worthy then perhaps,
what it is that must follow.
With this, we can learn to still love and accept it, unconditionally,
like the parent who loves and accepts,
unwaveringly,
the unruly and unreasonable and illogical child.
Then, when we see Truth, we can clearer see ourselves in it,
the ultimate role of man, and the Creator’s design.
Then we can live and let live, sincerely and without opinion,
even if it means the end of us.
As we will know that whilst we are in this world,
we are not of it.
A NOTE TO THE READER
To convey information that has a multi-dimensional context, with its elements presented in differing levels of understanding, and that are both physical and metaphysical in their nature, is complex. It is even more so doing this using a written format, which is a one-dimensional form of transmission – with each word and each sentence having a beginning and an end. It is for this reason that these books are written in paragraphs, and where each paragraph aims at providing a multi-dimensional impression. Hence the reader may find a complex paragraph becoming clearer when it is read a second or even a third time, and an impression of its content is already present.
The approach to topics of depth and substance using the English language further complicates this process seeing that English, as taught in contemporary schools, is increasingly simplified, with the vocabulary shrinking year by year, and with the public interest in film-footage having overtaken the reading of books and poetry. It is for this reason that the reader may note that the structure of sentences and the use of commas will differ from section to section, for the sake of emphasis or elucidation. What exacerbates the problem of transferring forms of understanding, is when emphasis on the meaning of something specific is required, and one needs to use a combination of words, but which then alters the meaning of the words that are used. Take for example the ‘world of man’; this uses two physical elements that create a metaphysical concept, and in addition, it is not necessarily about the ‘world’ or ‘humankind’, but a conceptual or behavioural phenomenon. Hence within these writings, such words are hyphenated into phrases such as the ‘world-of-man’ and ‘deep-state’. One will also note that at times such hyphens were used for the sake of emphasis on certain parts of words.
The reader may observe that in these writings, besides specific symbols that circumscribe each chapter’s content, that patterns and a certain mathematical formula are also present in the design, layout and divisions. Each chapter also has two numbers, the second higher number naturally referring to the fact that this book forms part of a series of three books in the greater assembly of ‘The Way of the Pilgrim’.
Last but not least, it must be noted that the masculine referral such as ‘man’, ‘him’ or ‘his’ throughout these writings, unless otherwise described, does not refer to gender but ‘humankind’ or ‘humanity’.
