#1 The first chakra is responsible for the root of our problems, which are the deep inner thoughts that stop us from boldly and confidently making our dreams happen. We need to find and clear the mold that has been wired into our core since birth.
#2 The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spinal cord, and it is where everything starts. It represents the body’s first level of consciousness, which is a specialized awareness of ourselves as physical beings with safety and survival as the first order of importance.
#3 The most basic of survival questions are asked by the infant’s nervous system, and are answered by the tribe.

#1

The first chakra is responsible for the root of our problems, which are the deep inner thoughts that stop us from boldly and confidently making our dreams happen. We need to find and clear the mold that has been wired into our core since birth.

#2

The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spinal cord, and it is where everything starts. It represents the body’s first level of consciousness, which is a specialized awareness of ourselves as physical beings with safety and survival as the first order of importance.

#3

The most basic of survival questions are asked by the infant’s nervous system, and are answered by the tribe.

#4

The first chakra is developed when we are infants, and it reflects our parents’ beliefs as our rules, their fears as our dangers, and their treatment of us as a reflection of who we are and what we intrinsically deserve. We feel intrinsically safe because we belong and are loved and supported by a tribe that has our back.

#5

A strong Root Chakra in adulthood means we are confident enough to apply for that dream job, ask for more money, start a business, or just be ourselves. We can be highly creative and have fun while still being focused, practical, and balanced.

#6

When our first chakra is not filled with enough safety and value, we feel anxious and unimportant. We are not safe, even during times when everything is fine, and we are constantly on edge.

#7

The foundational set point of how calm or anxious we feel in our body is based on our early experiences of safety and survival. They are also the beginning of what we believe about ourselves, shaping our beliefs about our intrinsic worthiness and what we feel we have the right to ask for and expect.

#8

You will experience a quantum leap in your feelings of grounded, safe, and powerfully embodied at the physical nervous-system level. You will be able to feel at ease in your body and be able to truly let go and relax.

#9

The stress response, which is the body’s natural response to fear and pain, is often ineffective in modern-day situations. It was never intended to be used constantly, and it can be extremely taxing on the body and brain.

#10

The first chakra is responsible for the nervous system’s stress response, which is triggered whenever it associates a particular situation or action as being unsafe. Without a key to unlock these hardwired first-chakra associations about what is safe and not safe, we’re basically at the mercy of our nervous system.

#11

We can carry excess anxiety and fear of being seen or heard if we are not in control of our lives. We may be unable to let go of our responsibilities, and we may be afraid of making mistakes.

#12

As we grow, the Root Chakra develops and expands with us, and our collection of unquestioned truths expands. We take in more sophisticated information and unquestioned truths from our parents, as feeling safe takes on a new social dimension.

#13

Shame is the fear designed to stop us from breaking family rules that are contrary to our natural, built-in human needs, desires, and wants. It always turns into self-shame, which invites us not to follow through with our natural desires.

#14

High achievers will say they don’t struggle with fear or anxiety, but if they drop a ball or make a mistake, they are overcome with anxiety. They feel incredibly insecure, one mistake away from being judged a failure or a fraud.

#15

The first chakra is dedicated to family, and all groups and institutions are tribe-like. We may act agreeable and accommodating at the expense of our unique desires out of fear of being punished.

#16

The first chakra is responsible for your survival instincts, and it is hard to change it because it is deeply connected to your primitive survival adaptations. It involves tolerating uncomfortable feelings and ills, which produces the ungrounding fearful thinking that causes anxiety.

#17

Our roots are where our layered lives began. Our roots are anchored in our primary attachment bonds, which are the bonds we formed with the most important of relationships - our parents and early caregivers.

#18

The body remembers through what we feel. We cannot recall events from early childhood because our brains were not developed enough to encode and store our experience in memory. But we can still absorb everything, and our bodies will remember.

#19

We can expand our field of consciousness to include where we are rooted in our nervous system. We can consider that something may be coming in from the beyond – from a past we cannot remember that is re-presenting itself in the feeling we are having.
