Introduction

I have written more than 60 books. at’s thousands of pages to help women make their lives more productive and become women with hearts dedicated to God. After doing hundreds of seminars on home and marriage issues and talking to thousands of women, I have some words of wisdom that will assist you in knowing what makes women tick and what makes them ticked. I always tell my audiences that men are weird and women are strange. God designed us that way so we can’t completely ﬁgure out the other sex. is is part of the mystery that attracts us to each other. In fact, a humorist once told of a conversation God had with Adam, His ﬁrst creation:

God saw that Adam enjoyed the Garden of Eden and all of its beauty, but he was looking sad and knew that something was missing from his life. God approached Adam and said, “Adam, you have been so faithful here in the Garden, I would like to grant you one wish.” Adam excitedly knew his wish and said, “God, I would like you to build me a bridge that stretches from Southern Cali-fornia to Hawaii.”

God pondered the wish for a moment, and then told Adam that it was impossible to build such a bridge— an engineering impossibility. However, since He was not

able to grant that wish, He told Adam that he could have another wish. Without hesitation, Adam requested from God, “God, when you give me a wife, would it also be possible to give me a handbook on how to understand women?” God frowned a little bit, and then He uttered these words, “Do you want a two-lane or four-lane bridge to Hawaii?”

at’s a funny story and we laugh, but unfortunately it is often true. We women can be hard to ﬁgure out. We are all uniquely created and very diﬀerent from men. My Bob tells me when he thinks he has me ﬁgured out, I change. In this book I’ll help you unlock the secrets of how to thor-oughly love your wife. At the end of each chapter I have included a section calledPillow Talk.ese are questions you can ask your wife when you go to bed at night. I guarantee that these ques-tions will lead to remarkable adventures in communication. ey will provide valuable experiences to loving and knowing your wife better. All women want to be loved—and it helps to know our language so we can better understand your message of love!
