Description

In Life on the Edge, author Stephany Francisca chronicles her path to finding a formula for a true life that has enabled her to meet and exceed her own objectives. As she recounts her personal memories and experiences from childhood to adulthood, she synthesizes the patterns that she followed to accomplish her life goals. To her, the pattern is clear:You do because you dont know better (ages 45).You do because you want to change the undesired outcome to a desired one (ages 610).You dare yourself to do more and push your boundaries each time you succeed (ages 1415).You keep daring but with pre-damage control you take bigger risks (ages 19-22).Author Francisca definitely took the road less traveled as she challenged everything from eating broccoli at six to being allowed to live on her own at fifteen. She talks about the challenges of fighting conventional wisdom, and of determining her own fate as opposed to letting her fate be dictated by others.Life on the Edge is about following your dreams and living life to the fulleston your own termsby creating your own path in life and then following it!

Preface
My aunt passed away in 2010. It was very hard for our family to suffer that unexpected loss, but the memories that remain keep her alive in our hearts.
Do you know what we did to ease the pain? We told ourselves that she had lived a full life. She had been true to herself and did all that she wanted to do.
The fact she was a housewife and mother of four never stopped her from pursuing her dreams, traveling the world—she traveled to a city on every continent—and doing what she loved. We couldn’t think of anything that she wanted to do that she didn’t do. We couldn’t even think of anything she might have regretted in her life. She really lived it up, and along the way, she made sure our family dreams also were accomplished because she always helped whenever and however she could.
She was such an admirable woman, and her passing made me think: when you’re not around anymore, how will people tell your story? When you are lying on your deathbed, what will be your lifelong regrets? What would you have done differently if you’d known which day was your last?
Most people wish they had worked less so they could have had more time with their families and friends. Some wish they had done more than they did and had given more than they shared. Some even wish they had allowed themselves to be happier by living their lives to the fullest. In most cases, people wish they had fulfilled their passion and dreams.
Do you want a life full of should’ve, could’ve, and would’ve?
This book is my testimony to the world and my tribute to life. I am very young, but I feel that my mission here on earth is to inspire and bring hope and to serve as an example. I hope that the way I live my life will inspire you.
Introduction
I found a formula for a life in which I can be true to myself, and as the analytical person that I am, I analyzed the concept that I will share with you in this book.
I considered my own personal memories and experiences, from childhood to adulthood, and I tried out the formula I invented as with many experiments to prove the formula would work.
It suddenly made sense to me.
I became eager to share what I had found out and wanted to get more people on board. In this book, I try to help you see what I see from where I am standing.
I’ve seen many people self-destruct by following the existing path that didn’t serve them or provide any growth; it certainly didn’t make them happy.
