Introduction
When my father retired and went into seclusion he left me with everything that he had ever written which included drafts of various manuscripts which he had intended to publish at various points. This also included every audio tape, video, dvd, and transcript of his lectures delivered over a lengthy career.
He gave me his business and asked me to carry on with it. This book reflects my desire to continue to disseminate his work as widely as possible. In Essays on Evolutionary Astrology: The Evolutionary Journey of The Soul there is a combination of transcribed lectures with parts of various manuscripts. Typically when my father lectured he would always encourage those who came to ask as many questions as they had. I have tried to leave as much of those two way interactions as I can in this book.
The origins of evolutionary astrology started when my father had a dream one night in which the entire astrological paradigm that measures the Soul s growth, and evolutionary intent, from life to life was given. At that time my father s spiritual teachers were Paramahansa Yogananda, and his guru Sri Yukteswar. Sri Yukteswar was an astrologer in his own right, and a galactic one at that. The dream that my father was given came from Yukteswar. In fact the entire book Pluto Volume 1: The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul was given to my father in that dream. That dream happened in 1977.
My father began to apply the evolutionary paradigm of the Soul to all of his clients, and lectured on it from that point forwards. Wherever he went to lecture the lecture halls would be packed due to the nature of this topic. It was the first time in the long history of astrology that a paradigm that was able to measure the evolutionary journey of the Soul had ever been given.
After seven years of practical application of this paradigm to his clients, at that point numbering in the thousands, my father felt it was finally time to write his now famous book Pluto Volume I: The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul. He wrote that book in just sixty days. It came out in 1985 and has been in continuous print since that time. It has been translated into many, many languages. It is literally all over the world. My father lectured all over the world from 1977 until 2004. Wherever he went he found people who were Soul-thirsty for this knowledge. He established schools at various points, with the help and cooperation of various students of his, in the USA, Canada, England, Germany, Holland, Israel, and Chile. He also established a video correspondence course in 1994 for Souls that desired to become certified Evolutionary Astrologers. He also established the Jeffrey Wolf Green conferences on Evolutionary Astrology that are held from time to time.
By the time he retired he had counseled over 30,000 clients from all over the world. He wrote his second volume, Pluto Volume II: The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul Through Relationships in 1996 that focused on the evolutionary and karmic reasons for being in the relationships that we are in. And now this book has been edited by me. Upon his retirement he left it to me to continue the spread of this work. I have started the Council of Evolutionary Astrologers to do so. We have a website at http://www.schoolofevolutionaryastrology.com ; it has a tremendous message board that has become its own international community of evolutionary astrologers. We continue to offer my father s original Evolutionary Astrology correspondence course
