I dedicate this book to the best mother in the world, Denia Weaver, who has always supported my dreams. Thank you for coming to my rescue. A long time ago you took a huge leap of Faith, and for that I am forever grateful. It feels amazing to know that one of my angels in my life has been here for me since the beginning.
RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION
First of all, I give thanks to God who put this vision in me years ago but I was not ready at the time. However, He started to mold me into the man I needed to be to make it happen.
I am grateful to my amazing mother who raised me as a single mother and provided a lifestyle that was filled with nothing but unconditional love. She kept me close to the church even when I tried to move away from it. She has been my biggest inspiration to make it to my final destination.
Thank you to my wife for holding down the family while I do something for us that has never been done before. This is something I am doing with trepidation but with your love I will be able to master this phase of our lives.
To my son Dovév Jr. and my daughter Elise don’t ever let someone else’s opinion stop you from chasing your dreams. God has given you everything you need to make it to your final destination. And as long as Daddy is here you will have my full support to make your dreams a reality. I love you to the heavens and back.
To all the men who have helped me along the way with kind words to guide me through the journey of life. Not having a father figure can be hard but God put men with integrity in my life that helped me through the growing process.
To my Uncle Bobby for always being available for me to talk to even when the subject was not an easy one to discuss. You were and still are a very important part of my life, and I love you so much for having the courage to ask me to express my true feelings about my father not being around.
To all the women in my life who were examples even when they didn’t know I was paying attention. I am a better man because I was surrounded by women who loved me and continue to love and share their hearts with me. You never laughed or ridiculed, you always pushed me to pursue my passion. To my other god-brother, Jonathon Hill, thank you for always going after what you truly believed in. I have no doubt you’ll succeed in the fashion industry because your heart is in it. You are one of the many people who inspired me to chase my dreams. Your drive and determination motivated me to get it done.
Thank you to Oprah for having one of the best networks on TV. I use her show to enhance my life so that I may bless others with words of wisdom. I have connected with a few of her diehard fans online and, I must say, they all seem to hold their heads high with great integrity. I pray that one day we can all meet and work together to change the lives of others together.
Thank you, Tyler Perry, for overcoming your trials and tribulations to become one of the best role models a young man can aspire to be in the professional world. I never went through what you did as a child but your story inspired me to keep pushing because if you could become one of the greatest male role models after what you’ve endured, I knew I had something to offer. For a long time I didn’t think I had much to offer to the world and now I see I do because of you.
Thank you, Bishop T.D. Jakes, for providing such a powerful ministry that it touches my soul every time I hear you speak. I know for sure God sent you here to bring people closer to Him and, from what I have seen, you are doing a phenomenal job. I pray that we can meet someday.
Thank you to all the friends and family members who supported me when this was just a thought and told me to shoot for the stars.
Thank you to all the people who told me I was absolutely nuts to chase my dreams. You ignited a fire in me that would not allow me to stop trying until I succeeded. I appreciate the extra motivation. I don’t do it to satisfy you, I do it because I can. Unlike others I will pray for you guys because at the end of the day we all deserve to live in God’s abundance.
Last but not least, thank you, Dr. Eric Thomas, for creating TGIM. It has touched my soul in a powerful way. The TGIM that did it for me was the one where you were on the railroad tracks talking about procrastination and how you waited ten years to write your first book. I waited about the same amount of time, but now because of that video and a strong urge to take action, I have completed something no one else in my family has done and I am leaving a legacy for my family thanks to your strong words of encouragement. I pray that God allows us to connect and start helping folks around the world reach their full potential in life.
INTRODUCTION

Just found out some life changing information and I don’t know how to process it. I’m going offline for a while so don’t bother trying to contact me.
Those were the words I texted to my wife as I made my way to the Skyway Bridge to end it all. After finding out I was adopted, the devil started putting all these negative thoughts in my head: “See, Mr. Dreamer, you are nobody special, not even your biological parents wanted you, they left you like a bad habit, and you can’t be a good father to your son because nobody loves you.” This went on for a good amount of time and each time it was something different. I got in my car at that moment ready to end it all, because the devil made me believe I would be doing the world a favor if I was gone. That ride felt like the longest ride of my life. My mind was made up. I was planning on jumping… and then it happened. I heard a slight whisper as the evil voices subsided. The calm voice told me to pull over. I was actually about five minutes away from the bridge, but instead I went to a place called Pass-a-Grille beach. It’s my favorite place to go clear my head. Once I arrived I just got out of the car and started walking and talking with God. I asked God why He allowed this to happen to me and He revealed that He had bigger plans for me, and that it was time for me to know the truth so that I could move on and start building something special. He assured me that everything was going to be okay and I need not worry. He said, “I have a dream for you that is far greater than your own. It will not only change your life but the lives of many others. This is the new dream I want you to chase and when you do, your life will be blessed.”
God has the ability to take us all on an adventure and if we can just follow His direction, we will live a life full of abundance. People go through life not treating it as an adventure and that is why most people turn into what I like to call “new age robots.” These folks follow a routine that they don’t believe in for many years and wonder at the end of those years why nothing changed or got better. If you don’t believe me ask ten of your coworkers, at the same level as you, if they’re happy with their job and income. I am sure seven out of those ten will tell you they are not happy with one or the other, and two more will tell you they are not happy with either one. There will always be that one person who utters the most dreaded phrase you can say to an entrepreneur, “I’m just glad to have a job
