INTRODUCTION
In this book, I have included whole food recipes I provide to my clients when embarking on their journey to health. These recipes are ones that I and my family eat every day, and most of the pictures were taken by me right before we enjoyed the meal.
Eating healthy meals and thoroughly enjoying them is possible. All my recipes are kitchen tested before sharing it with my clients. You are going to notice that we don’t talk much about counting calories in our books, because the source of your foods and ingredients are far more important to understand than the calories in them.
In a perfect world, every ingredient we use in our recipes would be picked right outside our kitchen door, but we know that is not possible, so we do the next best thing. Below I give you a breakdown on how you should select your ingredients for cooking. Take a look at my do’s and don’t list.
The do’s for a healthy recipe.
Fresh picked ingredients from your organic garden.
Locally grown ingredients from organic farmers.
Purchased from a reputable grocery store like Trader Joe’s house brand (they do not contain artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or GMO ingredients) or your local health food store.
From the organic section of the local grocery store.
Select frozen food over can food.
Use organic meats only, preferably grass fed.
The do not’s:
Using processed, pre-packaged non-organic ingredients.
Never use corn that is not labeled non-GMO because most corn grown in this country is GMO.
Never use soy products that are not labeled organic or non-GMO, because most soy products in this country are from GMO seed.

We have to choose what is best for our family. I want you to think about the fact that every time you walk into a food market, the choices you make will either hurt you or heal you. I teach my clients to read food labels, and how to calculate the sugar content of the food they purchase. I always say if sugar is one of the first three ingredients, consider it a dessert.
I am a firm believer that food is our medicine and that we need to get back to nature and simplify our foods. Eating whole foods will bring you satiety and also you will reap the health benefits they provide.
If you are new to whole foods, it is fine to go slow and build up your supply of organic stable ingredients. Stay basic and awaken your taste buds to the flavor of real whole foods.
By slowly changing your recipes to include whole foods, you will also be eliminating more and more processed foods along with the artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and GMO ingredients they contain. Stay completely away from the low carb, low fat, and sugar free products and you will start to notice a difference in how you feel and look within weeks.

Foods That Cause Faster Aging

Maybe you actually eat these types of foods that will negatively affect your blood sugar levels as well as age your joints and skin faster? Many are deceptively promoted to you as "healthy" by large food corporations. Steer clear of, or cut down on these and look 5-10 years YOUNGER than your real age.
As a result of biochemical responses within your body which take place with each kind of food you consume daily, certain foods age a person much faster than others and some actually help combat aging.
Consume the bad foods on a regular basis, and you may look and feel up to ten years older than you are, but eating the correct foods, will also make you feel and look years younger than your age.
There are a few foods we could discuss that have an adverse effect on your body, like sugar or trans fats, but in this chapter I would like to talk more about one of the major food groups that tend to be more off the radar, and also a little confusing, because of major marketing campaigns that are misleading.
Before we talk about the actual foods, you need to understand the three processes within your body related to foods that affect how you age. These are called Oxidation, Inflammation and Glycation, and these three things along with stress, will determine how we feel and look.
Inflammation which is caused by the foods we eat is associated with all degenerative diseases that are common, to what people pass off as just getting old. Diseases like Alzheimers, cancer, obesity and diabetes, but even less threatening diseases such as arthritis, migraines and asthma are included.
Glycation is the thickening of the blood, due the excess sugars found in the foods we eat and cause circulation problems. Diabetics that end up with issues with their eyes or feet, it is because of poor circulation caused by Glycation.
Oxidation is the damage caused by molecules within your body called, free radicals when they attack the cells and actual DNA of your body. This Oxidation process actually ages your body from within.
So now let’s look at the foods that directly relate to the processes of inflammation, glycation and oxidation.
Wheat based foods, even whole wheat can cause inflammation in your body that will cause joint pain, bloating and a host of other related issues, that could be passed off as just getting older.
Before I explain to you the reason wheat could actually accelerate the process of aging within your body, we should explain some basic biochemistry in the human body...
This relates to glycation within your body, as well as substances known as Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs). These particular unpleasant, tiny compounds referred to as AGEs accelerate the process of aging in the human body, including deterioration gradually to your joints, internal organs, as well as, wrinkled skin.
Knowing this to be true, now we ask what is the leading factor that increases the manufacturing of AGEs within our body? Studies have shown that high blood sugar levels that are sustained over longer periods of time has a significant effect on the increase of AGEs in our body. We can confirm this by the fact that many people with type II diabetes look much older than they are. However, this premature aging consequence isn't just restricted to people suffering from diabetes.
So now the question is, how does "whole wheat" relate to blood sugar levels?
The “whole wheat” is healthy for you story is a lie and the truth is being hidden through extensive advertising campaigns by gigantic food companies which would love you to think that eating "whole wheat" is actually healthy for your family. But the simple truth is that all wheat includes an extremely uncommon type of carbohydrate not really present in other foods known as Amylopectin-A. In a number of tests, this carbohydrate has been associated to spike an individual's blood sugar levels higher than pure sugar.
The point is amylopectin-A from wheat increases a person's blood sugar levels more than just about any carbohydrate source according to blood sugar response screening.
So wheat-based food items similar to whole grain muffins, whole wheat breads, bagels, cereals, along with other baked products frequently trigger a lot higher blood sugar levels as compared to almost every other carbohydrate source. As I mentioned earlier, the higher ones average blood sugar levels are, over time, the more AGEs are actually produced within your body, helping to make you age even FASTER.
While everyone seems to know about the negative effects that gluten (which is proteins in wheat) could have if you have an intolerance to it, the blood sugar issue we covered is even more damaging to a bigger percentage of the population and is 2nd reason to stay away from foods made from wheat. Not only does the elimination of wheat help slow down the aging process it also for many people helps eliminate that belly fat.
Avoiding The Worst Food That Harms Your Brain

Some of the foods you may be consuming on a daily basis may actually cause your brain damage. We will be taking a look at some worst food that harms your brain and those that may also protect it.
First the negative bit... Some foods can actually impair your memory and your learning ability. And if you have been making the wrong choices in the type of foods and drinks that you take, this could eventually lead to a disease like Alzheimer. We as a society should generally start to take the degenerative diseases such as heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer, a lot more serious in each of our lives. The choices that we make in terms of food on a daily basis can prevent some of these diseases.
So let's review some of the food items/substances that may harm the brain and some of what can be done about them.
Fructose
Some researchers have found that diets that are high in fructose can impair an individuals' learning abilities and memories over time, this was discovered in a UCLA 2012 study and published in the journal of physiology.
In addition to the effects of fructose on the brain, it is also common knowledge (with researchers) that a diet that is high in fructose can cause insulin resistance over time, which may lead to diabetes (type-2) and some e
