I asked the CEO four questions intended to elicit an emotional response and lead to a message the company could use to tell its story to its key audiences.

The first step to telling an inspiring story is to discover your verse, the track that makes your heart sing. The heart of your story gives facts their soul. Facts alone don’t inspire.

The American Dream is not a destination, but a journey. Mark had to learn the habits of the wealthy and figure out how to sell himself. He learned that people buy from people they are comfortable with, and he became one of those people.

Burnett learned to pitch T-shirts to thousands of people from all walks of life and from every part of the world. He was so good at selling that he essentially paid off the $1,500 monthly rent in one day of sales each month. He saved much of his income and parlayed the cash into lucrative real estate deals.

The pitch is the most important part of the marketing process. It is how you sell your idea to others. It is not always easy to deliver, but it can be done with practice and confidence.
