Description

Finding Joy offers empowering success secrets to a joyful life in an easy-to-read story format. These "secrets" reveal how to live an A+ life in a world that accepts C- as normal. Everyone can relate to this powerful story of overcoming despair with joy. Carolyn's life takes an unexpected turn and leads her down a path of hurt, bitterness and negativity. Her marriage is ending, the kids are struggling, and she finds it hard to focus on work. Feeling stuck and resentful, she wonders how her life has ended up in such a mess! Everyone around Carolyn validates her feelings...everyone except Kim, the CEO of her company. Kim invites Carolyn to lunch one day and proceeds to ask her two powerful questions. These questions are painful at first, but eventually they open her mind to a new way of thinking and this begins her transformation. Kim offers to share the 6-secrets of living an A+ life with Carolyn. Carolyn accepts her offer and now faces the challenge to dig deep into her soul and dream big. It is interesting that while Finding Joy is simple, it is by no means easy. Read this book and learn the secrets as well as how to use the secrets to change your life and begin living an A+ life. Don't settle for average when it comes to your life. Embrace the power you can feel by living with joy in your heart.

This Can’t Be Happening

arolyn woke up dazed and confused, feeling like she C had drunk too much the night before. She could hear sounds of summer outside her bedroom window. Her mind then slowly shifted to the sounds inside her house of children crying in the family room and the low, deep voice of their father, Ben, talking to them. Suddenly, the memory of last night flashed through her head, and she flew out of bed and ran to her children. There by the fireplace, Ben held the chil-dren by his side, announcing that he would be moving out that day. Not only would he be moving out, but moving out of town. Rage went through Carolyn as she remembered the previous night’s conversation. They had come home from a friend’s party around midnight, and Ben had been in a cranky mood all evening. As they prepared for bed, Ben had quietly informed her that he didn’t love her anymore and that he would leaving in the morning. She tried to reason with him

and begged him to try counseling first, but he just stared at her with an ice-cold expression. The only thing he would discuss was how to tell the children. It all seemed so surreal. This couldn’t be happening. Everyone always said that they had the ideal marriage, and this wasn’t what was supposed to happen in ideal marriages!  Carolyn couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She threw down a kitchen chair in a fit of anger and screamed, “This isn’t how we agreed! What are you doing?” She tried to calm herself down. Her frightened children looked at their crazed mom and cried harder. Ben simply said, “I told them.”  Carolyn wanted to punch him. She wanted to hug him. She wanted to beg him to stay, but all that came out were deep sobs of disbelief as she watched him take his belongings and leave. She knew she had to stay strong, but she didn’t know how she was going to do it. She had married young and had never even been on her own. Now she was left alone, with three children who needed her more than ever, and she wondered where she would ever find the strength to give them everything they needed.  As the weeks passed, Carolyn became obsessed with trying to understand what happened to the man she loved and to whom she had been married to for over 15 years, her chil-dren’s father. How could he just walk out and leave not only her, but his beautiful children. Over the weeks and months, she learned many things about Ben that she simply couldn’t believe. It truly seemed that he had led a secret life. How could she have been so naïve? He had taken their money, created credit card accounts in her name, and told lies to his

family and friends about their marriage. Carolyn also learned that he had been involved in numerous affairs and had left for another woman he apparently met on the internet. All she could think was, “toshaestmiebka.erehtThis crazy stuff couldn’t be happening; this was the kind of story that gets aired onDr. Phil! Friends and family reached out and helped as much as they knew how, but as she shared her story over and over, she only grew angrier. If sides had to be taken in the matter, everyone would have sided with her, except his parents. She thought that sharing her story would make her feel better, but in reality, she only felt worse. She felt like a victim.
