INTRODUCTION

“Abu Ghazaleh’s Legal Dictionary” is the sixth dictionary among a series of specialized professional scientific publications that have been diligently accomplished during the past years to help in attaining knowledge in the frame of the formidable changesin our business and life. This dictionary constitutes an additional source to both the judiciary and nonjudiciary, as it is enriched with entries that enable-as a whole- the user to master the “legal tongue” that has entered a new stage accompanying the entry of the world that we live in a new era. Forward achieving this goal, the dictionary has been designed to cover a set of areas that are not likely to be seen grouped in conventional legal dictionaries, the purpose of which is to highlight the features and characteristics of this new universal legal tongue. Among these areas is the intellectual property area in its new dimensions, especially the names of vicinities and the digital intellectual property, the on-line arbitration, and the internet crimes, like identity thefts and piracy. Among the newlyintroduced areas also is the area of international law, and in particular the area of local constitutionality and international constitutionality, that is considered the most prominent, in which is clearly manifested the transition of humanity from the stage of nationalism and internationalism to the stage of universality. Among the areas also are the legislations that are in accordance with the Islamic law ( Sharia’a), the thing that is focused upon in response to the utmost attention which was the source of concern of economy and finance experts throughout the world, following the financial crisis that swept the economies of the United States and Europe. In addition to that there is the area of the new criminal offenses, like money laundering, corruption and monopoly. There is also the axis of commercial legal strategies that deals with steering the companies, international trade,and companies’

good governance. There is also axis of investment and its best practices, and the operations of acquisition and merger. And there is also the axis of relations in work. The new axises also included criminology and punishment, especially the most prominent terminologies and new concepts. I hope that this legal publications with its content of vocabulary and expressions, will contribute to meeting the needs of judge, lawyers, professors, law students and also the university needs (requirements) of business and finance people, companies and those who work in other economic fields. It is an irreplaceable essential component to the series of professional scientific dictionaries that I published, and these are: Abu Ghazaleh Dictionary for accountancy and business.
