Introduction

They say that true success is not in employment , but in having your own business. And yes, many entrepreneurs have proven that doing business is actually more profitable than getting employed into some company. There are many successful entrepreneurs worldwide and they continue to grow in leaps and bounds. Most entrepreneurs don't have to be successful as the ones you may see on the show "shark tank” or anywhere else for that matter.

Most did not even graduate from college and manage to hit big in the field of entrepreneurship. And although people also do hit big in employment, they are often limited by what a job can do in the way of growth, creativity, and financial gains. This is why most choose the profession of entrepreneurship and this is why this book is written.

When you decide to make a decision like choosing your life’s work, you have to consider what you are going to do.  Because at times, it is a choice that you decide to take and a journey that will shape your life and your future as well as those around you.  That's why entrepreneurship is often called a “journey” and a calling.  Because when you take the first step, it is a "leap of faith" and a hope that you will see the vision you desire become a reality.  Their are no guarantees.

Entrepreneurship is a profession and a responsibility at the same time. A responsibility to the community and world around you as well as yourself.   This profession called entrepreneurship, is rewarding as much as it is a tenuous ride.  It is a ride worth taking and a decision to say yes to many possibilities as well as uncertainties.  Is it worth it you may ask?  Yes . I believe the world turns and becomes possible when entrepreneurs decide and do what they know they ought to do.  Its a wonderful experience!

Simply put, why limit yourself and your life when you have the endless opportunities at your fingertips as an entrepreneur.
If your "on the fence", then take a peak at what entrepreneurship is all about, you may find it interesting.  In this eBook, you will find 10 1 unique tips that will help you achieve success in doing business. Whatever your chosen industry is, this is the book to read and one that can encourage you!

Best wishes in all your business endeavors!

Chapter 1: Having the right mental attitude

1. Are you optimistic?  Over optimistic? Having a positive mind and positive outlook are crucial to being successful in business. It is optimism that will take any business endeavor to the next level.  If you are just starting out in business and you are always eager to get off to a great start, be careful, you may have the tendency of becoming too anxious.  By anxious I mean you may start to overlook or overextend yourself and make too many mistakes.  There is obviously nothing wrong with optimism, but put it into perspective.

2. Have a dose of pessimism . In today’s business world when it comes to business, i ndividuals who comprise a business organization have the tendency of not being aware enough of the world around them.  With the advent of the Internet and the global economy changing, you have to be able to whether the “business stor m” while having a healthy dose of pessimism.  The reality of business is this: change.  You have to be ready and prepared for things to not go your way when your plans take an unexpected turn.  Always leave room open for disappointment, but maintain your positive focus.  You don’t want your mindset to reside in a state of constant fear.

3. Find your “inner” motivation.  What is it that moves you to do what you do for a living? Why do you stay up long hours to do what you do? Why do you bother with this in the first place?  This is where you begin to find what it is that motivates you.  You must find and maintain what keeps you going in the business that you do and why you started in the first place. How do you find that out?  Relive the reason why you decided to start a business in the first place.  Was it for the freedom and independence that having your own brings?  Is it the financial freedom?  Is it the sense of pride and accomplishment you get when you see your or your business name “in lights”? Whatever the reason is , that is the “inner core” that you revisit when you feel a bit off and need some inner inspiration and motivation.  We all need this every now and again and we all should spend the time to do some searching.

4. Have a clear vision, mission, and goal.  Any and every business that has ever been created has with it a vision, mission and a goal.  Do you know what yours is for your business ?  You should and convey this to all that are in your organization.  When you have a business model and a plan to implement this, then you are not alone.  You are engaging with other key people in and out of the organization you create and develop.  Every business that has ever been done has a plan and with it its goal, vision, and a mission statement along with it.  If you have none  get one.  This is the “essential” part of who, why, what , w hen, where, and how that is answered.  This is the guide that “steers” your business in the direction that you as its leader want it to go.  Every business should inform its employees what this is and have constant reminders as businesses often get off track.

5. Believe In what you do.  Do what you love and believe in it!  When you decide to take on the responsibility of owner and starting a business, you are hopefully engaging in a business that you believe in.  You really have to believe in what you do as an entrepreneur because if you don’t, nobody else will. It is so very important that you not only love what you do , but believe in what you do.  Most businesses fail to understand this and do a business solely for the money.  You can do that , but be assured that this will lose its taste after some time.  How do I know this?  I did this and followed the money and when I did so I really was not enjoying it much less believing in what I was doing.  Be careful in the business that you choose or that chooses you. You must believe in it.

Chapter 2: Finding you passion

6. Love what you do and do what you love.  Any business that you start must come from a place of love.  Yes love.  Simply put , if you do not do what you love and have the energy and passion for what you do, you most certainly will stop somewhere along the way in your business.  Why do you think most entrepreneurs start a business and it continues to thrive and remain a success year in and year out ?   Think about it. Let say , for example , you starting a music business and you had no love nor knowledge for it, how long do you think it would last?
