Sample Book Insights:
#1 If you are having trouble deciding what your passion is, think about it this way: you will naturally become passionate about what you are good at. So, if you are not sure what you are good at, start doing something that allows you to make money.
#2 The old way of doing things is to not try. The new way is to jump into the abyss. To try and fail and cry and wail until finally you say, I can’t do this one more time. I just can’t. Please don’t make me.

#1

If you are having trouble deciding what your passion is, think about it this way: you will naturally become passionate about what you are good at. So, if you are not sure what you are good at, start doing something that allows you to make money.

#2

The old way of doing things is to not try. The new way is to jump into the abyss. To try and fail and cry and wail until finally you say, I can’t do this one more time. I just can’t. Please don’t make me.
Insights from Chapter 2

#1

You must quit your job to get the ideas moving. If you don’t, you will have no roof over your head. You must build a foundation for your life or you will have no roof.

#2

The American Dream is dead. The middle class has died. The biggest provider of mortgages for the past fifty years, Fannie Mae, had as their slogan, We make the American Dream come true. It was just a marketing slogan all along.

#3

The first decade of the twenty-first century was spent with CEOs crying through their cigars about how to fire all the dead weight. The country has been out of a recession since 2009, but the jobs have not come back.

#4

The most important thing to remember when dealing with a boss who wants to destroy your career is that they are all the same. They all want to destroy your career, and they will all throw you a meal here and there in exchange for your excrement.

#5

Don’t stay at the job for safe salary increases. That won’t get you anywhere - only free time, imagination, creativity, and an ability to disappear will help you deliver value that nobody has ever delivered before.

#6

To avoid the one-person-makes-or-breaks scenario, diversify your interests and projects. Do not allow any one person or customer to control your destiny. When you do this, the odds are in your favor that a winning number will come up.

#7

The four legs of the Daily Practice are your physical needs, your emotional needs, your mental needs, and your spiritual needs. You must make sure that you are meeting these needs. The more you can satisfy these needs, the more you will create the conditions for abundance to come into your life.

#8

The only way to secure your financial future is to start a business or a platform that allows you to put large amounts of money away. Everyone is an entrepreneur, and the only skills you need to be an entrepreneur are the ability to fail, the ability to have ideas, and the courage to execute on those ideas.

#9

You should make the list right now. Every dream you can start to take those steps toward. I want to be a best-selling author. I want to reduce my material needs. I want to have freedom from many of the worries that I have succumbed to all my life.

#10

To experience abundance, you must first step out of the prison that is imposed on you from your factory. You can’t see the gardens from behind the walls. Only when you are moving along your themes and improving the lives of others will abundance come.
