Foreword

It was a great honour to be asked to write the Foreword for The Man City Quiz Book.
I played the majority of my professional career at Manchester City and was Frank Clark’s first signing as manager in December 1996. My first goal for the club was ironically against my former club Swindon Town. The highlight of my Manchester City career was the 1999 play-off final at Wembley against Gillingham. We were 2-0 down and I scored the first comeback goal, the team going on to win 3-1 on penalties to gain promotion to the First Division.

I have many good memories of being at Manchester City and this book certainly has brought them back.
I hope you enjoy this quiz book as much as I did!
