Description
Looking for something that will put a smile on your face, make you laugh from deep within, or lift your spirit? The Wonder of It All will do just that! It is a book of poems written by Valerie J. Borgal, beautifully combined with illustrated artwork. Her poems are fun, whimsical, and will make you laugh out loud; some are somber, some will make you think a little deeper, but all will challenge your daily walk with God and others. These poems are creatively portrayed in watercolor and pen and ink, or a combination of both, as well as graphite and scratchboard, to bring a visual complement to each subject.

Dedication
The Wonder of It All is dedicated to all the teachers in my life who taught me and encouraged me to use my gifts and talents.
Most of all, I dedicate this work to the glory of God, who gives me ideas and comes along side me to help me create and write. I am amazed by His leading, His wisdom, and His love that He gives day in and day out. Jesus is my life. He shows me the way, shares His truth, opens my mind to understand, and my heart to apply it.
Acknowledgments
Thank you to Linda Kapeckas for editing the manuscript, giving your time, and experience to help The Wonder of It All come to fruition.
Thank you to Karen Diaco and Sonja Schmidt. You read through the poetry and gave great critiques, ideas, and suggestions to improve the read in the middle of your busy lives.
Thank you to my husband, Tom Borgal, who sat alone in the evenings, while I worked on the computer. Thank you for your edits, suggestions, and your encouragement.
Thank you to all who have prayed for me during the process: my family, Bible Study Ladies, Church family, and those in the Matt Tommey’s Created to Thrive mentoring group.
God guided me through the whole process and kept me at peace. To Him be the glory: He is my Lord, Savior, Guide, Wisdom, always present, leading the way I should go. We co-created together in paintings and poetry writing. Thank You, Lord! It is exciting to work with You!
Introduction
Over my life time, I have written numerous poems and painted many works of art. I wrote these poems in The Wonder of It All between 1994 and 2022 and created the artwork between 2000 and 2022. Over the past two years, I have culled through my poetry to share the best with you. Along with the poems I have brought in my artwork to compliment each poem: giving you, the reader, a little more to ponder by using the eyes to stir the imagination as you read the words. You will read poems about nature, critters in my life, people I love, places I have ventured and about my faith.
I pray you will be blessed as you read, chuckle, and even laugh out loud, maybe shedding a tear or two, think and ponder, and feel a tug on your heart from the Lord.
