This book contains humorous skits, stories and songs, inspired by the personal experiences of the author, and the humor of Mark Lowry and Chonda Pierce.
The Christian Gossip Show: Season 1 contains the Gospel according to a slightly bizarre woman named Nancy (non-sense) Ebersole. Certainly don’t blame its content on Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. These stories are similar but not exactly the same. Instead, this is a humorous collection of skits that offer lessons on various biblical principles.
There are a variety of ways for readers to engage with the text. Each segment can be read as a short story. Another option would be to perform the skits with one or multiple actors, with the help of prop lists and instructions. These skits also serve as a launching pad for Bible study and discussion. Adults and youth alike will appreciate the entertaining and humorous ways these biblical topics are addressed.
No matter where you stand with the Lord, Nancy prays God will use her silly stories, songs, and the scriptures in a way that blesses you and makes you laugh. Among all the “nonsense,” there are pearls of truth from God’s own heart that He wants to share with you.

Preface : Four ways to use this book:
1. Each episode of the show can be read as a short story; or
2. Performed as a skit; or
3. Used as a Bible study tool by reading the story or performing the skit, looking up the scriptures, and discussing the Biblical principles and stories that are referred to in the skit; or
4. For a youth activity, the stories can be used as a competition between teams. Each team is given a list of the scriptures found at the end of the story. The list would be given out of order and without the corresponding numbers. Then each team would find the number in the story that the scriptures reference. The first team to match all the scriptures to the correct number wins the competition.
Disclaimer: The characters in these stories are fictional and are not representative of any persons you may know, unless you find the resemblance to be uncannily similar. (In that case, draw your own conclusion.)
Music: Skits can be done with or without the songs, or song lyrics can be read as poems rather than sung—whatever works for you, your church group, or other significantly bizarre friends with whom you wish to share this humorous nonsense. (In other words, no musical abilities are required.)
The skits can be done with the host sitting behind a table with guests in chairs to one side of him or her, or with a panel sitting at a table also, if appropriate.

I want to first and foremost thank our Lord for the gift of humor that allows us to laugh—sometimes to save us from ourselves! Especially, thank you Jesus, for your gift of salvation—my greatest joy—that inspired me to begin writing songs about your grace, the cross, and Heaven beginning in the 1980s.
Back in the day, when I was a Phyllis Diller wannabe, I realized it’s a wonderful thing to be able to make people laugh. Thank you, Phyllis; I learned all my husband-bashing skills from you (as well as my hideous laugh)!
More recently, I have to thank Mark Lowry and Chonda Pierce, my two favorite funny people whose humor truly inspired and motivated me to want to write the skits in this book.
I want to especially thank my husband, Ken, who spent hours at his computer writing and rewriting—and rewriting—the many changes I made to these stories, as well as scoring the music for the songs. Without his wonderful help and endless patience, this would all still be my chicken scratch on countless pieces of paper, napkins, or whatever else I could find to make notes on. Episode 1
Special Instructions for Episode 1: This episode can be performed as a skit by one person with six different personalities or as a two-person skit with one playing the host (with a different name) and the other one playing the guest with five different personalities. It can also be done with six different individuals, each with a different name. If one person plays multiple parts, she will need to quickly change costumes and props between speaking p
