Description

A look at the foundations (rights) required for men and women to be free. This writing is the author's socio-economic statement and allows each of us to step beyond the domination and bondage of our current political systems. "Sovereignty is the right of each life to its own life. Sovereignty for any individual is actually held in a joint balance between the two parts. Balance equals a sovereignty of both parts. In a sovereign relationship, both parts are free to choose for each part is equal in right to the other." The Man and Woman Manifesto: Let the Revolution BeginAuthor Bio: Christopher Alan Anderson (1950 - ) received the basis of his education from the University of Science and Philosophy, Swannanoa, Waynesboro, Virginia. He resides in the transcendental/romantic tradition, that vein of spiritual creativity of the philosopher and poet. His quest has been to define and express an eternal romantic reality from which a man and a woman could together stand in their difference and create a living universe of procreative love. Mr. Anderson began these writings in 1971. The first writings were published in 1985. On a personal note, when Mr. Anderson was asked to describe the writings and what he felt their message was he responded, "Spiritual procreation. Mankind has yet to distinguish the two sexes on the spiritual level. In this failure lies the root of our problems and why we cannot yet touch the eternal together. The message of man and woman balance brings each of us together in love with our eternal other half right now."

Preface
This writing is a product of a recent revelation of mine. I have come to realize that I no longer believe in the United States of America. During my many years of writing about freedom, I had an unconscious assumption that freedom and the United States were somehow compatible, or at least I thought they could be. I no longer believe that but rather believe that the United States has lost its way and has become entangled in so much confusion that the only solution available is a paradigm shift of such magnitude that the concept of country itself will be transcended. For me, I no longer see myself to be a citizen of this country, or of any country, but rather just a man who is a part of the universal Community of Man and Woman.

The Proclamation
To all people the world over, I ( Christopher Alan Anderson ), on this date of ( February 11, 1994 ) declare my freedom and announce the demise of the ( United States of America ). Furthermore, I announce the demise of all nations and, instead, proclaim the Community of Man and Woman.
It is with long reflection and a heavy heart that I have come to the conclusion that the greatest experiment in freedom known as the United States of America has failed and, furthermore, is beyond repair for, you see, its very structure, the fundamental premises upon which it was founded, has not provided and cannot provide the freedom to which I have hungered for so long. But it is with a glad heart that I am now free from the burden of having or needing to believe that the United States of America can or should do something for me. It never really could. So by letting go of this country, I am now freer within myself. I am now able to follow my own path and create the beauty and balance I feel within my heart. And so I say goodbye to you, citizens of the United State of America. I wish you well. And I say, if there ever comes a time when you, too, grow weary of the impertinence placed upon you, know that you, as well, can leave and journey to a place within yourself where freedom always resides at the center of all your relations. And from there we together may begin to smile upon each other from our souls.
A Definition of the Problem: Paradigm Shift
Let us begin with a question. How is it that we have gotten into this situation, gadding about as if we were free in a world that seemingly exists to prevent our freedom? To understand this curious dilemma we must go way back in time, all the way to the dawn of consciousness.
It appears that man first become conscious when he “suddenly” stepped back from nature and abstracted into his mind a one order . What a gigantic leap! This shift from a state of unconscious response to a state of conscious reflection was, I believe, the essence of what we call monotheism. Monotheism is known as the belief in a one God. What is important here is not so much the idea of “God” but of one. Philosophically, monotheism is the idea, or conception, of a one order--a very important idea. It is this idea of a one order that is necessary, almost a precursor, for one to abstract into consciousness—to then be conscious! You see, until man stepped out of the “oneness of nature,” he could not conceive of the “nature of oneness,” i.e., an order . The abstraction of an order is the same as the abstraction of God or reality or truth or self. This abstraction creates the apparent separation of oneself from nature thus the distinction of self from other which is the basis of consciousness. Consciousness is always a consciousness of self in relation to “not self” or other. So, once we make the abstraction of oneness or order, creating a conceptual separation between self and other, consciousness begins. Consciousness exists as we are or as we become conscious of relationship . Needless to say, this whole phenomenon of what we call monotheism is very fundamental to us.
Now, what does monotheism have to do with our current predicament? This is exactly what we need to examine. The problem is that we did not ascertain the phenomenon of monotheism correctly, which is certainly understandable. We made the distinction of a one order, thus the beginning of consciousness. And then we “unconsciously” assumed that that was it, that we were now conscious and the world we saw “out there” was how things were. But we failed to make another fundamental distinction, one that arises at the same time as does order and is as equally important. It is this later distinction that will, I believe, complete our conscious conception for us and allow us to conceive of and experience a new freedom.
The second distinction has to do with force. Force is something quite different than order. Yet the monotheistic conception did not designate a difference between the two. Rather it lumped them together as if their difference was inconsequential. Read this comment from the early Greek philosopher Pythagoras (470-500 B.C.).
God is one. He is not, as some think, without the world, but within it, and entire in its entirety. He sees all that becomes, forms all immortal beings, is the author of their powers and performances, the origin of all things, the Light of Heaven, the Father, the Intelligence, the Soul of all beings, the Mover of all spheres.
Notice that God in this quote is thought to be the overseer, i.e., the order, intelligence, or first principle. God is also viewed here as being the prime mover, cause, or force of all things. God, as “the one,” is considered to be both the order and force of the universe. Now here is the problem. Force is not singular. Force always reveals itself as a two forces, a duality or relationship. Somehow it never occurred to early man, nor to us today, that cause or force cannot be of “the one.” We can still say there is a one order, order representing the two dynamic forces . But there just isn’t a one, sole, singular force. Rather, there is a force and a counter-force. Any movement, action, force, cause, energy, or creation is always involved in a relationship with something else.
Let’s look at another quote, this one from the Bible, John 1: 1-3.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
Here again God is referred to as comprising both order and force, indeed more by default because the distinction between order and force is not being made. Historically, we have always viewed God as comprising both a one order and a one force. We continue this viewpoint to this very day. But as has been stated by many down through the ages-- there needs to be opposition in all things. You see, there needs to be two forces, metaphysically speaking. Our conception of God may comprise a one order but it must comprise a two forces. This is a very important idea to understand.
It is this exact failure on our part to make the simple distinction between order and force, i.e., a two forces , that has thrown us into the chaos in which we reside today. I will be explaining this further as we proceed. But just think, we walk around with a pair of glasses on that only allows us to see one half of the whole of reality. Metaphysically, we have constructed a partial universe, and we think our view is the whole thing. Imagine thinking reality is such and such a way and basing our lives on this misconception. What a gigantic mistake! We have been doing this since the beginning of consciousness. Can you see the magnitude of the problem? We have been viewing the world, calling that view “reality,” from a conception that automatically excludes one half of it. And then we pretend to know what is going on.
The first thing we need to do is change our conception of things from “o
