As I was in the process of mixing my afternoon drink, I noticed there were two husky dogs on the label. This brought back memories of the dog given to me by my granddad, a liver ticked short haired pointer trained for quail hunting. There were two dogs from this litter sired by field champion Air Pilot Sam in Georgia that ended locating in Texas. My dog was trained by my granddad and the other dog was trained by someone else for a squirrel dog. This training period started before I started to Rockdale grammar school first grade. I was given an air rifle from my granddad with the understanding when I could light a match from five feet with my gun I would receive a 410 gauge shotgun. With this challenge, Blue Diamond Kitchen matches were my only targets for a long time until I succeeded and received my shotgun.
