[1] Georgia King(born 18 November 1986) is a Scottish actress.
Early life King was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of actor Jonathan Hyde and opera singer Isobel Buchanan. She went to Exeter School.
Career [2] King made her professional debut as Rosamond Oliver inJane Eyre. She was nearly unable to play the role, however. "A week before the day she began filming, King felt stomach pains, then had her appendix rupture. Her [3] agent told the producers that she was unlikely to recover from the operation to remove it for at least ten days." Another actress was cast, but King recovered in time and was able to get the required medical clearance to film.
She is best known as Goldie, a surrogate mother in the American sitcom, The New Normal. Formerly, She was well known for her roles as head-girl Harriet in 2008'sWild Child, and as cruel, conniving Sophie in the 2009 slasher film,Tormented. She also performed inOne Night in Novemberat the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, from October to November 2010, as well as being featured in the 2011 filmChalet Girl. She appeared as Princess Elena in the [4] episode "The Changeling" of the third series of the BBC'sMerlinstarred in the comedy horror film. She Cockneys vs Zombiesas a criminal trying to escape a zombie-infested London. The film also stars Michelle Ryan, Rasmus [5] Hardiker, and Jack Doolan, and was released in 2012.

Austenlandis a novel by Shannon Hale, published on May 9, 2007 by Bloomsbury. A film based on the novel was released in 2013.
Plot summary Austenland tells the story of 30 something, Jane Hayes, an average New York woman who secretly has an unhealthy obsession with Mr. Darcy the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. But after Jane accidentally reveals her secret to a great aunt, who shortly after dies, Jane gets the opportunity of a life time. In her great aunt's will, Jane's great aunt leaves Jane a trip to a Jane Austen themed getaway destination where Jane hopes to meet her own real life Mr. Darcy. While at "Austenland," Jane is plagued with self- doubt about pretending to be a woman from the Jane Austen era. However, along the journey Jane makes new friends and a new romantic interest.
Reception [2] Ella Taylor of theLos Angeles Timesdescribed the novel as "some lit lite to see you through a day at the beach". [3] Another reviewer summed the work up as "an utterly enjoyable tribute" to the work of Jane Austen. Stephenie Meyer, the author of theTwilightseries, declared that the novel was "Adorable! The best tribute to obsessed Austen [4] freaks (like me) that I've ever read."
