Description

"I Won't Complain"
This book has been written to prove that remaining true to oneself and maintaining a right relationship with Jesus The Christ will enable you to overcome any obstacle. We just need to believe in Him 100% of the time because He is True to His Word-He never leaves nor forsakes us. He is with us each and every step of the way.
I talk about hardships I faced in my life from spousal abuse emotional, physical, verbal and even attempts at spiritual abuse. However, I never allowed the spiritual abuse. During these times, I merely repeated "You Can't Steal My Joy", which often angered the person at whom the statement was directed, but didn't care because I became reassured that whether that person was in my life or not didn't matter because I have a Savior who will always be there, who will accompany me in any and all situations.
There have been times in my life when I felt as though I couldn't go on and that is when Jesus has been therefore me, leading and guiding me and assuring me that I could do whatever was needed. I praise His name for all of these tasks He has done for me and want to share those testimonies with the world! God is so good.
I discuss a bible study that I attend Saturday mornings that is led by a powerful woman of God who has an anointing on her life, Delores Fisher, a/k/a Mama D and the other women of God in this group of powerful believing women, led by Sister Delores Fisher who is my Prayer Warrior.
I discuss my personal relationships with God, my family and friends and the importance of same. I remind everyone that we all need God in our lives and that without Him, we are missing out on blessings because as we all know, When Prayers Go Up, Blessings Come Down.!

DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to my mother, Mary Eleanor Green-White for more reasons than I can even begin to count. Early in my life, she instilled in me the knowledge that God is omnipresent: if only we believe in Him and live our lives according to His commandments each of us would have the opportunity to accomplish not only fulfilled lives, but lives fulfilled according to His Plan.
While not always easy, Mom explained she believed each of us were given the tools, which often we do not recognize as such, to equip us to become victorious survivors.
Mom taught me that during the course of life, many of us come to a place where we “think” we have arrived just because of who we are and/or what we have accomplished; a factor that is usually not true.
She reminded me often that any success we might obtain, in whatever form, is the direct result of God’s grace, mercy and unconditional love for us. Without Him, Mom said, everyone’s situations would more than likely be much different.
Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t always this aware and I surely didn’t realize the benefit of faithful belief until more recently than I care to admit.
I am now convinced that part of God’s plan for my life somehow included the sharing of Mom’s imparted wisdom which brings me to the purpose of the book. Through my faith-based realizations, it has become very important to me that I acknowledge God and thank Him for placing obstacles in my path; for allowing me to not only survive but to survive in relatively good condition; having learned many valuable life lessons which prepared me for the next phases of life.
Usually, at the conclusion of these events, I lip synced the words “Thank you God”. I say lip-synced because at that time, they were usually only words to me—words I was taught to say in appreciation of anything for which I felt gratitude to Him. Additionally during most of those times, I didn’t believe myself worthy of God nor did I realize that He had a Plan for me , a promised purpose for my life as he does for all true believers.
To provide you with a more complete understanding of the message I want to share with you, I’d like to explain how I believe I got to where I am spiritually today.
Join me please as I begin my journey which hopefully will enlighten some to discover the benefits of God’s love, grace and mercy and remember, when prayers go up, blessings come down!

CHAPTER 1

I WAS BORN sixty two years ago in Bloomsburg, a small rural town in Pennsylvania. Today my mother’s job title would be domestic engineer. Back in the day, what she did was called day’s work which involved her cleaning the homes of wealthy townsfolk.
My father didn’t reside with us on an every day basis. Rather, he lived in Berwick, another small town about 12 miles north of Bloomsburg. Berwick is famous for its Weis potato chips.
During my childhood, Mom and I resided at 160 William Street where about eight family-inhabited clapboard homes then stood. Four more well-constructed houses further down William Street existed. My story includes all eight and one of the well-constructed homes.
When telling the story of how I got here, Mom said she had been nauseous and tired—just not feeling like herself. After feeling that way for a month or so, she went to the doctor.
After examining her, Dr. Brobst said, “Nothing’s wrong”.
Dr. Brobst was your typical Doc. Holiday type small-town physician, complete with bushy white beard, glasses and smile. As explained to me, grinning from ear to ear, he told her,
“You’re pregnant, Mary, that’s all.” Dian said Mom told her that her mouth dropped nearly to her chin.
Dian informed me that Mom cried for weeks. Mom thought because she was in her mid 40’s childbearing much less, her child rearing days were over! I was also told while she was upset, my dad happily strutted around like a proud peacock throughout Mom’s entire pregnancy! My mother was 44; dad in his mid 50’s. Before proceeding any further, I want to provide details of who my immediate family who appear throughout the book.
Both Mom and Dad had been previously married to deceased spouses with children prior to my birth. Mom’s children were: Tommy, Hilda whom we lovingly called Sis, and Dian. Siblings on Dad’s side were: Lovie, Thelma, Larry, Marylee and Bob.
I’m relatively sure Mom was raised if not born in Bloomsburg, along with her three brothers: McKinley, Dewey and Wilbur.
Uncle McKinley (Uncle Mack) was a tall man who walked in a slightly stooped over manner. He was extremely pigeon toed and had very thick eyebrows, what is now termed as a unibrow. He lived in Binghampton, New York with his wife Aunt Agatha.
Uncle Dewey had been a police officer in New Jersey somewhere near Asbury Park and had been married to Aunt Mary Stuckey; Uncle Dewey was known as the family prevaricator, due to his ability to embellish and stretch a story.
During my childhood, Uncle Wilbur lived in Bloomsburg in a basement apartment at the Hotel Magee where he worked for years. One of Uncle Wilbur’s shoes had an elevated sole due to a birth defect which only recently did I become aware by my sister Dian recently was due to a case of rickets. Together Uncle Wilbur and Aunt Sarah shared a son, Wilbur Jr.
Previously married, Aunt Sarah had other children; Jean, Jane, Joan, June, and a handsome son, John, who was an excellent footbal
