Description

Seven unlikely allies band together to save three separate worlds from Sindar, a villain who would steal the things that make life worth living.
An unforeseen crisis forces multiple worlds to become intertwined in a race for survival. An evil enemy challenges the World of Joy, the World of Behavior, and the World of Psyche. The realms are collapsing due to Sindar’s ability to steal health, justice, and knowledge, and he must be stopped before all existence is destroyed.
Seven people now find themselves drawn together to help regain a sense of oneness and stop Sindar’s odious intentions. Many obstacles are placed in their paths, including each other, but they must continue moving forward in the process of reestablishing their existence and saving all three worlds. To help with their journey, they are gifted with objects that connect them to their ancestors. Three intriguing fairies also join the group.
However, they cannot rely on bravery and brute force to end Sindar’s reign. No, first, these unlikely heroes must discover they cannot be fulfilled until they accept responsibility for their own behaviors, fill their lives with joy, and regain a sense of spiritual wonder. They must pursue the true essence of life and happiness and find their way back to long ago, when the Prince of Innocence was born.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Y ou really can’t accomplish much if it were not for the people that have helped you along your journey. People come to me in so many ways into my live. They are the people next door, the people that you work with, the people you call friends, your families, and the people that you meet along the way. You never know who is going to be your inspiration.
That is what life is for me. So many people stand out along the way. Dr. Hi Newby is the first of these persons. He stood there demanding I behave, or else! Who knows what the ‘or else’ would be. He showed me a world of wonder and excitement; took me on rounds in the hospital and helped to mold who I am. I am forever grateful to him.
Dr. Alan Miller was the next doctor that saw something in me and to this day I firmly believe I am a doctor because he fought for me. There is no words of thanks for him. He is more than a mentor, he is my friend. In this medical school journey there was Jill Braveman-Panza and Barbara Steele. We shared good times and hard times but always together.
So many people have touched the core of my existence. They have led me to challenge myself, and in turn, challenge others. This started with my parents Fennie and Christine Groda, sisters and brothers. We shared many journeys during our time together. The twins just added to us – they were the diamonds that shined for all us girls. My baby sister has been a close companion and a sparkle, with this jewel of her life. It is hard as each of my siblings; Kissy, Joyce, Debbie, Karen, Ronny and Johnny, have founds the seashells of my life.
My children and grandchildren are very special to me. My son Christopher has a special gift of being able to lift the spirit of anyone. He has two beautiful children Reiley and Jaxon, each with special skills and uniqueness. Jaxon loves to unicycle and Reiley is in college at age 16. Learning and exploring life is her gift she gives herself. My daughter, Iris, walks with God, and left me with three grand-children. Her sons, Christopher Todd, Steven and David Joseph, are a reflection of many aspects of her. Each one is individual and special. They each give to me what they can. I am lucky to have them.
The people I have had the opportunity to know help me to be all they can be as a person and as a doctor - have placed their thread into my tapestry of life. As they grow, I grow. As they exist, I exist for I am part of them and they are part of me. Each placed add new people such as Roselie and Mary Brown.
Dr. Paul Workman, a special surgeon, has been a model for me. He has such a gentle spirit that flies high for all that come into his life. I was just one of the many that he has touched. There are many people that have touched me – Dr. Paul Workman, Dr. Paul Costanza, Luann Schafer, Dr. Karen Schowalter, Dr. Michael Marshall, Dr. Richard Kline, Dr. James Pense, Dr. Brandon Hauss, Dr. Zinna Johns, Dr. Kumar and Dr. James Green just to name a few. They took time to listen to me and help to guide my way in the production of this book. Dr. Pense contributed to the cover. There are too many to name them all. The memories mount daily. For each, I thank them. Special thanks to Sandi Rutten, the patient editor that care so much to help. Mostly I am just so glad that God sent her and them to me.
Friends are numerous, Kris Gutknect, Zinna, Linda Martk, Dee and Judy, Faith, Robert Day and so many more. So much times, Barbara has walked through trouble times with me. My soul mate is David. We have been together for many years and hopefully will have many more together. His smile lights my soul, his humor is my joy, and his love of learning is something we share. I just wish he liked the outdoors as much as me.
I really want to thank my parents and my children. One of the hardest events that happens to anyone is the death of one of their children. My parents, siblings, husband, my son, my grandchildren, went through this as so many people before us, and will after us. We walk hand in hand with living and dying. It is up to us to choose.
PRELUDE
M any years ago I lived in a small town called Del Rio, Texas. It was a place that helped me to understand social clues of isolation, such as prejudiced attitudes based on color, creed, and financial status. It haunted me for many years that what we judge to be good, to be healthy, to be right, was set up by the standards of our community, our environment and our culture. The beauty of the people and their diversity was lost by the expectations that were placed on these concept.
The town was divided into three separate communities by race: Hispanics, African-Americans, and Whites. The center of town was where the hospital, courts, schools, and recreational activities were held. You could have friends with all different races when you were in the center of town, but you were not allowed to cross territorial lines of a different community. Crossing lines were off limits. I don’t know what would happen if they had caught me crossing these culturally derived barriers. Just imagining the punishment was a scary thought which I pressed deep into my unconsciousness.
Hopefully, this book will be more than just a fantasy. It is a book about being human with all the avenues of discovery that goes along with the diagnoses of humanity: joy and frustration, anger and sadness, loneliness and isolation, exploration and solitude, differences and similarities, successes and failures, needs and desires, and friendships and enemies. Whatever your life becomes, it begins with the light, and ends with the darkness! We are granted only a limited amount of sunrises and sunsets. Many times we only see the bleakness of the night sky, instead of reaching for the stars and the light of hope.
The shadows of your life walk hand-in-hand with the shadows of your death. Each moment we make a choice to live or to die. We may not be aware of what decision we make. One moment you may be alive and vibrating with all that surrounds you. The next you may be facing despair and loneliness, as the champions of your life. Vibrating, and thrilling, one moment – and the next you question, why? Why am I here? Am I doing something special, or am I just a drop in the bucket of nothingness? No one can tell you what life means for you. No one can live your life. This is a gift for you alone.
Hopefully, the characters in this book will help you look deeper into yourself – to see who you are. So many times we concentrate on others, forgetting to look at ourselves with open eyes of understanding. We look at the behaviors of others, but forget to look at our own behavior. We scrutinize others, but forget to scrutinize ourselves. Those that care for themselves, and others, will look deeply into how their behavior affects others and themselves. They are the ones who define the essence of being.
One day fades into another and we look back. We do not really understand where we have traveled. We forget to take time to see, touch, feel, smell, and linger with the fragrances of life! We get glimpses of our past. We hope for the future and forget to live in the moment. To be honest, this is the only time we really have. This moment with all its energy and fe
