Description

Planet Maya is a trilogy. It is a book about a haunted, cursed mansion. The mansion found many new owners at a bargain price. Every owner that purchased the said mansion did not have the courage to stay and confront the evil curse and strange things happening. Until Paul's family decided to resolve the mysteries. This story comes with three different stages in three different books until the whole story is revealed. US Review - "Every family packed up and left the mansion without giving anyone any addresses or telephone numbers."Mark Twain stated that courage is not the absence of fear, but the resistance and mastery of it, a trait which Planet Maya's main character, Paul, exemplifies. Paul works hard to provide for his family and to be a loving father and husband. When he finally gets the house of his dreams-a mansion on a lovely expanse of land-he doesn't question oddities, like how the former owners left unexpectedly (leaving their possessions and old food behind) or a black bird that haunts the barn and repeatedly attacks his son, Angelo, whenever he ventures outside. The whole family is on edge from all the peculiar happenings centered around the house, until one day Angelo goes missing without a trace. Paul suspects that the black bird has something to do with it. He takes matters into his own hands and hunts the perpetrator responsible for his son's disappearance as well as the family's misfortunes.

New Beginning for Henry’s Family

Claire had suffered enough in her time of captivity; her brothers and sisters could not wait any longer to come to Paul’s rescue. Claire asks her mother Lucia to allow her to visit to Paul and Eva. Lucia gave her approval. She soon was well on her way toward the one-time family mansion. Paul was busy painting the windows; he did not expect to see Claire this soon he was pleased to see her.
Paul asked, “How’s your family doing these days? Is everything settled down? I know that they still think that they own the property.”
Claire answered, “Well, you know I understand your situation, and I hope you also understand their feeling about the mansion.”
“They didn’t put the place up for sale—the state did it,” said Claire. “My parents also understand that, not knowing the whole scenario, the state could not afford to see the taxpayer’s money being used for an abandoned mansion.”
“It’s nice that you and your parents see the whole picture. I would have had a hard time doing the same thing if I were in your shoes, or theirs,” Paul said. “How are your parents? I’m sure they’re enjoying their freedom.”
“They are doing just fine I must say they deal with the situation like brave individuals. My dad is in the process of acquiring another property that they talked to us about briefly.”
“Henry told me that this time the state will help them. He was asking me to be patient because he was hoping to be settled in his new house in a couple of months from now. You know, after all that experience and bad luck we’ve had, they don’t have anything left, and neither do we.”
Paul replied, “I am so sorry to hear about this. It must be hard to have lost everything you owned. You know, your parents are free to come and examine the barn and the garage and take whatever personal item that belongs to them.”
“Sure, I’ll tell my parents that they are welcome to at least try to retrieve what personal items belonged to them before their family was savagely reduced to live in a cave like animals. I know for my younger brothers and sisters—all they want back are their toys. You know, in the upstairs of the barn they should find all kinds of leftover toys and other things. Did you ever see those?”
“Yes,” replied Paul, “I’ve seen the things upstairs and asked my children to clean up the area. I don’t know where the toys are at this point. Tonight, I will ask my children to see if they have thrown anything away, then I will get back to your parents. Let’s talk about the mysterious experience your family went through for a couple of years. I know it might be difficult for you to recall these painful moments, but I’m searching for clues to find my own son.
Paul continued. “You are the eldest in the family, and I am sure you did everything possible to protect and to ensure the safety of your sibling. In this instance I want to congratulate you for your dedication. I am sure that at times that it was a challenge and a headache just to ensure their safety.”
“Yes,” replied Claire, “the hardest thing was that while the curse took place, we were immediately transformed to the same age group of animal figure. For myself, many times I wanted to be the ant or the mouse to be able to spy on the activities of the bad magician. Being small has its advantages. Being a bird has its advantages too, mainly that of being flexible and able to fly rapidly, but I guess no one can live two lives at the same time.
“The most impressive thing that comes to my mind is that after this whole ordeal, we are at the same age now as we were at the time of our transformation. It looks like the curse had stopped us from growing older in order to keep us under control. All I can say at this point is how happy I am to be chosen to help you Paul, to rescue your son Angelo.” Claire remembered some little details of why, while being under the curse that transformed her into a figure of the black bird, she was paralyzed in the old barn. She told Paul that the reason behind her paralysis was so that he would find the black bird lying under the pickup.
Paul replied, “Well, if I only knew what I know now, I would’ve treated this black bird a little more gently, not so rude and disrespectfully.”
Claire answered, “At that time, you didn’t know. It was impossible for you to know about the whole situation. All we can do is pick up the pieces of the puzzle from here. One difference is that the black bird does not exist and now you’re talking to the real person.”
“Yes,” replied Paul, “it must be nice to regain your real personality. I can just imagine living like your family did.”
“Well,” said Claire, “I know you are a good and loving father. Over the years, many strange things occurred in this mansion. Only you had the courage and the will to stay and investigate the cause of your pain, anguish, and sorrow.
“I saw at least two families coming and going; each time, it turned out to be a deception. At one point, I had almost lost all hope that one day the curse would be lifted up and we would be free. I knew that the only way the whole scenario could happen would be that this day would come. What you did to me when you kicked me the first time you saw the black bird opened a door that led to our deliverance, like magic. That is, you kicked me out of the barn without pity or mercy because all that time I was paralyzed and stuck on the ground. That is where the most valuable clues in the disappearance of your son are. I know that your children have gone into the barn and cleaned up the leftovers of our belongings. I vigilantly kept an eye on this particular place and no one had yet misplaced these important clues.”
Paul said, “Well, this sounds very interesting and encouraging. At least, now, I’m not left by myself to tackle this ordeal. I’ve got you and this is everything I know: you have a key role to play in the recovery of my son, and your family will be taken care of.”
To this, Claire replied, “Oh, you are too kind to me. Now, you have to remember all the first things you did about two years ago. Remembering your moves and discoveries when you entered the barn for the first time will be part of the problem solving now.”
“Well,” replied Paul, “let me do some homework here. I think I know a little bit about what you insinuate. It’s true that the first time I entered the barn, I made some discoveries. Nevertheless, I didn’t attach much importance to them.”
“Try to remember these little details. Of course, I may be able to help, but as you now know, while being a bird figure for so long, I did have the capability to remember like I do now,” Claire told Paul, “If only you could just tell me one small detail of your finding, this would be of great help.”
To this, Paul replied, “Okay, let me think about it and I’ll get back to you soon. For now, I have to get to the village.”
Claire said, “I wish you the best, Paul, and hope you put all your heart and effort into these urgencies.” Paul boarded the pickup and was on his way to the village. As for Claire, she decided to stop at the mansion to speak with Eva—she was on the phone.
Eva hung up the phone and offered a glass of juice to Claire. They were both sitting around the kitchen table, telling stories, remembering. As time passed, Claire told Eva that somewhere in the kitchen (she did not remember the location, or if it was still there) a medium sized door was made.
Eva replied, “Yes, I stumbled upon it on the first day we arrived here. To tell you the truth I’ve never thought anything special about it; I’ve lost sight of it. Is there any link to this little door in the kitchen?” she asked.
Claire responded, “As far as I know, yes, I remember that there was a medium door that vanished suddenly. I don’t know for sure the importance of this door. My hope is that this mysterious door has nothing to do with us and the situation of your family. Sometimes, I honestly suspect that it is part of your own mysteries and clues as to where your son might be right now.”
Eva’s eyes grew bigger and she was just about to cry as she replied, “Why didn’t we see this coming? If we, as parents, were able to see the future, we would have taken another path, and I wouldn’t be talking to you right now.”
Claire replied, “It was meant to be. If you hadn’t purchased this property, we would still be in the cave, prisoners of a bad magician having cast a bad spell on us. Unfortunately one wouldn’t have been cast on your son. The good news,” said Claire, “is that now, you are not alone. You have me and my whole family behind you to support you in this pain and anguish.
Eva replied, “Yes, I am not alone now, but how long will it take before my son returns to me?”
Claire replied, “I absolutely don’t care how long it’ll take; I will be there to support you and guide your family into this journey.”
During this time Paul, busy with the everyday load of work, decided to go and get a cup of coffee. Paul walked in the ho
