Dedication
She was simply special, Among the dears, odds & all! Truly she was wonderful, Soft, pleasant & beautiful.
She looked innocent As well as different! She was often wild, Often calm & mild.
She could even fly Over my mind & eye. She could even swim Within my dreams.
She was my teacher, Guide cum philosopher. Often like my mother, Suckling me with care.
I wished to be with her Here, there & everywhere. Yet, she never became my lover Remained only as friend forever!
This book is dedicated to my beloved friend, who once had played an important role in my life, but now forever lost in the maddening crowd of the metropolis leaving no clue to trace out. Her aching remembrance inspired me to become a writer .

WARM UP: THE RISE OF NOSTALGIA
Genesis of Inspiration
People say learning management is difficult. It needs patience, passion and practice. It is also said that only brilliant students get through the GATE of B-schools. We always see long queue of the aspiring students and lots of hue & cry to bell the CAT for securing a seat in these institutions.
I am always an advocator of easy learning. I believe that even learning management is not difficult if the method of learning is altered. And no genius is required to learn management lessons. Anyway passion and practice are required to learn any skill and excel in it and the same is applicable in management discipline too.
I also believe that the lessons of management are useful to anyone irrespective of his/her position in the organizational hierarchy. Even the rank and files and the union representatives also shall learn management for doing their jobs effectively.
However, the question always pops up, how? How to teach management to the persons who have never gone through formal management training?
My weakness, I love to dream. I even love to wingback into the past to ponder over the tiny incidents of my uncherished childhood memories. This imagination always lives and works incognito with me ensuring that I ponder sharply and preserve creativity.
My imagination spiced with sweet memories often vulcanizes snatching my leisure, making me doodle. My scribbled notes gradually have given birth of many fictitious characters, who often come in the foreground of my thoughts and start living with me. This fiction is the album with their portraits as they appeared to me.
For the central concept of the book, I owe to many of my friends, some forgotten and some lost forever in the labyrinth of life, whose told and untold stories were the real seed of my imagination.
The characters appeared so common that, at times, while weaving the story, I have often felt them to be genuine.
The fiction part depicts the emotional phases of childhood-love and lost friendships of a group of adults. Similar stories might be resting in the oblivion of many of us. Hence, I am confident that most of our readers, while leafing through these pages of the book, will plunge into their ocean of nostalgia as well as enlarge their knowledge bank.
For quite sometime, we were working on this line. We had discussed the issues with various learning and development experts. Finally, knowledge and imagination got a perfect blend. This book is the result of this blend and a filmy romantic story took birth to teach management principles.
Direction to the Readers
My dear Readers …
My attempt is to present a handy text book in form a romantic fiction to those who wish to manage themselves and other resources. A few hard management principles have been propagated in soft manners. Hence, it is blend of many ingredients, a perfect Khichri . I have tried my best to make this khichri as tasty as possible.
Fiction and nonfiction parts have been separated out from each other and distinctively identified through faceplates or foregrounds. As for example, ‘Faceplate – Novella Nostalgia’ indicates the romantic fiction and ‘Foreground – Learning session’ indicates learning sessions at the B-school.
However, to get a heart contend taste, I request you to start from the first and gradually go to the last. Don’t jump pages.
The book is designed and written keeping in mind the childish psyche of grownup people. However, the book can be read by anyone irrespective of age bar.
The book is equally suitable for casual as well as serious reading.
    Beware!
On finishing the reading, many of my readers may land into any or all of these wonderlands –
Fit them into any of the characters those suit them most. (Slots available for most of them) and enjoy romance through their nostalgic dreams.
May appear psychos in the eyes of their spouses and other dear ones.
Another feather in the cap! Add up some more wisdom to their existing knowledge bank and raise their heads and shoulders in the crowd of dumbos.
Find out the real secret of happiness and lead a happy life for lifetime.
Some stubborn management professionals will turn into a stretchy believer of ‘Management by Heart’ and attempt to practice it everywhere.
Some of you may even plan to be up in arms with me.
Become my fan and start posting e-mails after e-mails to me.
Help my friend Keshav Prasad with their witty ideas.
Of course some may give me A+ yet feel my story may not fit into the head of new genre as it does not talk about chatting, MMS, 3G and yahoo!!!
Please note all characters in the book are fictional and are not intended to represent real individuals, either living or dead. Hence, do not make any serious attempt to look for them in your neighbourhood.

Prologue
The Conspiracy The Director : Keshav Prasad Shrivastava The Producer : Omprakash Kedia alias Kedia Seth The Victim : A poor and stupid fellow who is believed to be a humble writer
Brief Biography of the daunting duo compelled me!
Before I embark on unfolding this newest offering of mine – a romantic story of teen age romance, I must flag off with the brief introductions of two important personalities, who not only played key roles in pushing me into the ocean of trouble but also were successful in throwing off their burdens on my weak shoulder (The right meaning, as per them, might be providing an opportunity to uplift the quality of my life but to me it was indeed a great disquiet).
Keshav Prasad Shrivastava
Let me start with this first and foremost person. My childhood friend! A few years elder to me, yet prefers to be called as my buddy than ‘bade bhaiya’. My baba and his pitaji were colleagues in ‘Seth Sukhlal Primary School, Singur’. And so this ‘bhai-bhai’ relationship!
Earlier Keshav had worked as director’s assistant’s assistant and extra supporting role in some little known Hindi and Bhojpuri films. (As he claims and I never bothered to verify his claim as big brother shall be kept away from any unpleasant reservation. Anyway, we may spare him with the benefit of doubts!)
Yet, in this big world of film making he is still known as a struggler. Although I strongly disbelieve it as once or twice, I have seen people winging for him for a trifle role in movies. In spite of close proximity of
