Mariannes Christmas Miracle features two young characters born with incredible gifts: a nine-year-old girl named Marianne who has a visual gift and healing powers, and Andrew, an eight-year-old boy who was born with autistic disorder but also with amazing musical talent. When Andrew was in coma, Mariannewith her profound love for prayer and strong faith in Godprayed for Andrews recuperation. After his miraculous recovery, he became aware of his talents in piano and song composition, giving him an insight to use it to benefit children afflicted with autism. The story is filled with aspects on hope and faith. It seeks to capture emotion and imagination to reach for Gods miraculous intervention when faced with hopelessness in an unworkable situation.

About the Illustrator
CARIZA BERNABE is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, in 2008 with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, major in art. Has excellent ability in illustration, Landscape painting and graphic design. She is the illustrator of the book Collection of Inspirational Poems for Young rea ders.

Foreword
This book is written to give inspirational thoughts to readers on hope and faith. It is about an autistic child Andrew born with gifts which he used to help other children with similar illness with the aid of another gifted child Marianne whom God also used to help other people through her gift of vision and healing power. Marianne is a character that represents hope she has absolute confidence in the creator and with her deep faith she never gave up until a miracle happened. She exerted a great deal of patience in praying even in a seemingly most impossible situa tion.
Marianne is God’s instrument to awaken man’s world that through faith and hope everything is poss ible.

Marianne’s Christmas Miracle
B ernadette and Marianne were leaving a friend’s house that afternoon twilight has already settled, upon their way home in order to get to the main road they have to pass through a bridge. Before they reach the bridge a storm started to enrage, rain was falling heavily, wind was moving forcefully with roars of thunder striking violently followed by lightning flashing in the clouds. There were rush on streets, trees were swaying their branches tumultuously. Some powers have been knocked out and fewer lights ar ound.
Bernadette tried to drive fast to get to the bridge before the storm becomes turbulent. They were almost at the foot of the bridge, when Marianne ye lled.
“Mommy, don’t pass that bridge, it is going to coll apse!”
“What are you talking about?” Bernadette was not listening to her until they reached the foot of the bridge, and Marianne sho uted.
“Mommy d on’t!”
Bernadette slammed the brakes abruptly and they saw the bridge collapsed due to heavy rain and was swept by the raging water. The dilapidated parts have been washed out. This bridge had often been the complaints of many vehicle owners who were regular commuters for years yet the city officials have not been able to fix and resolve this problem up to now.
Bernadette surprisingly nervous looked at her daughter and a sked.
“How did you know that?”
“I don’t know, I just happen to see.”
“See what?” Bernadette asked while still bewildered
“Mom, I have this vi sion”
Bernadette did not anymore ask Marianne to elaborate her answer she already knew what her daughter was talking about. She found out her daughter Marianne can predict what will happen in the future by way of a vision if it is harmful or bad then she is compelled to make an attempt or a way to stop or prevent it from happe ning.
She concentrated first in getting out of the place. The rain was falling intensely, heavily, Bernadette was becoming anxious, edgy and light’s sky has faded it was dark.
She called 911 on her cell phone and requested for assistance to be directed to a nearest route. Many stranded motorists were on their phones. They were all re routed to a different direction until they made it to the safe path. When they reached home, Bernadette was still in shocked, and in great disbelief that her daughter has that power to predict and see incoming ev ents.
That night she put her to sleep she was looking at her and mutt ered.
“Why my daug hter”
Marianne is still very young, innocent and yet already have full of power. Suddenly Bernadette became scared, that this power may be dangerous to her life.
Bernadette became a single parent since her husband died, when Marianne was only five years old. Now Marianne is already eight, and a second grader, but she has the brilliant mind of a fifth grader. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24. At an early age, Bernadette has also observed that Marianne loved to write poetry, mostly about worship and praises to God. She would often love to visit libraries and bookstores and wanted more books to read. She would pick up books on Geography, History, Culture and Bible for Children with illustrations and drawings, she spent more time reading and writing than playing with her dolls and other toys. Marianne has a beautiful face, luminous skin like an angel, brown shining shoulder length hair and practically tall for her age.
The following day, Bernadette asked Marianne how she had this vi sion.
“Tell me how did you first experience this vision and when?”
“We were on our lunch break and one of my classmates, Tiffany was holding her food tray and was about to sit down next to the other girl, then I had this vision where she will lost balance in holding her tray containing a hot chocolate drink and will spill out on to the next girl who will later suffer a skin burn so I immediately helped her hold the tray to prevent from falling and I saved the next girl from getting hurt.”
“Did you tell anybody about your vi sion?”
“No I was afraid they might brand me a crazy girl.”
And she told other more stories how she was experiencing the vi sion.
One afternoon when Bernadette picked up her daughter after school, there was a car accident on the road they’re passing by, a grade school boy was hit by a car, lying on the ground unconscious while someone was on the phone trying to make an emergency call, Marianne asked her mom to stop the car, creating a traffic jam.
“Mom, can you stop, please” Marianne pleaded her mom.
“Why?” Bernadette asked again perpl exed.
“Just d o it.”
Bernadette stopped. Then Marianne stepped out of the car and rapidly run towards the boy.
“Marianne, where are you going? Come back here!” Bernadette sho uted.
Marianne came closer to the boy who was still unconscious and she touched his bleeding forehead and legs several times, even before the paramedics arrived. Then she went back to the car.
“What did you do?” Bernadette a sked.
“He should not die.” Marianne answ ered.
“Who should not die?”
“That boy” She gestured the boy to her mom.
This time Bernadette noticed that her daughter not only has a future vision but has a healing power as well.
From the car Marianne saw the boy moved his legs, opened his eyes and he got up on his own. The bleeding in his forehead stopped and he got his back pack and started to walk away slowly as though nothing happened. Marianne happily smiled secretly while looking at the boy walking and she felt glad for him. Bernadette saw how the boy stood and walk. She became restless and panicky and wanted to leave immedia tely.
The driver who hit the boy did not see what Marianne did, but saw the boy walking away and he shouted at him.
“Hey, come back here, you need to go to the hosp ital!’
“Thanks! I’m fine.” The boy answered and he continued to walk further while wiping off the blood in his fore head.
“Marianne, you should not be doing anymore what you just did.” Bernadette advised her stro ngly.
“Mommy, the boy had an accident. He may not live.”
“But someone has to be responsible for him, not you. Don’t do that a gain”
The driver was in deep amazement while looking at the boy wa lked.
“Jesus Christ” The driver muttered
The boy knew he was hit by the driver he knew that he was hurt, but when he became conscious he felt he was back to normal again and no trace of wound or injury had marked his face and legs. As though he just woke up in a bad nightmare and he survived with no pain in his body. He just felt a little dizzy and continued to walk to his home. He doesn’t even have a slightest idea who rescued him from this ordeal. Although he was baffled for what went on with him, he still continued to walk.
And the paramedics arr ived.
“What happened? Where is the injured boy?” The paramedics a sked.
“I am the driver who hit that boy” And he pointed the boy already moving away in a far dist ance.
“And I saw him lying and bleeding unconsciously, now he suddenly got up and just walked in that direction.” He explained to the paramedics while pointing out where he laid.
The paramedics didn’t know whether they will believe the driver or not or he was just making up a story but they questioned him s till.
“Did you see anyone approached him while he was on the gr ound?”
“I saw a little girl came near him but I did not pay much attention I thought she was just curious to find out what happened with the boy”
“Where is that girl?”
“I don’t know.” He answered while
