Description

The Stars of the Earth juxtaposes goodness, honesty, loyalty and empathy with the tyranny, injustice, and selfishness that currently seems to dominate in Bangladesh. It tells the story of a boy who, impressed with a poem by an older classmate, invites him home to entertain his father. The young poet recites a stunning poem about Bangladesh and the host’s father responds with interesting morality tale of his own. Their stories end with a series of poems about the current state of humanity in Bangladesh.

Nur ALOM with Gilles Piquois
Preface
Generally, people are honorable in what they say and do and in their behavior. But they can hurt others anyway. Those who respect others have humanity. These people can teach others to live, to recognize honesty, to respect success, and not to deny it.
God gives people their stature. There are many examples in this world of going outside of God’s command. There are many examples in museums. Their place is not the highest, but is lower.
With jealousy, no one can stop others. With jealousy, one cannot hide his stature and wisdom. Jealousy causes people to move outside reasonable thought. Only enough hard work can sustain his stature. If someone wants to stand on their head, or if someone stands on a hill, and if he thinks he is the tallest person, it means he is stupid. He does not know that he could fall down and hurt himself.
If people want to go far away from other people, and cut relations with others, how can they exercise leadership? In this world, there are many people like this. Beside these people, there are others who are the stars of the earth. As long as this world exists, the stars of the earth will exist. Human relations will exist, bonds of love will exist, and the heaven of love will exist.

Chapter 1
It is very warm with a dry wind blowing,
Many flocks of birds are flying in the sky, praying for rain.
In a more temperate country, such unbearable weather would not exist.
Six seasons are turning into a single hot season which makes for unhappy people.
Ammar is sitting under the shadow of a tree, thinking about it and listening to the sound of the birds’ prayers.
The tree provides the shadow, but how can it protect those around it from the heat?
Ammar leaves the shadow of the tree, stands up, watching the sky, and says,
Oh my God! Please use your tranquility to moderate this heat.
Make it more temperate. This is a six-season country; bring back those seasons.
Time continues to pass and becomes a prayer for Asor.
At that time, Ammar completes his prayers.
After his prayers, sitting under the shadow of the tree, he hums a tune and writes a poem.
Wish to be Martyrs.
Suddenly I wake up to see
Tonight’s darkness in the sky.
All God’s creation is praying,
Praying to God.
Those who wish to be martyrs
Are waking up
To follow Your path, to be with You,
To be near You.
To whomever wakes up on this night,
God will give a gift
For waking up and opening his heart,
For desiring the peace of the path to martyrdom.
I am also a follower of the path.
Take me with you.
This exchange in this world
Reflects the light of the Holy Qur’an.

The place where Ammar is sitting and writing his poem,
Is along the same way Bindu goes to and comes from school.
As the Rajnagur Jamey ul-ulum dakhil Madrasha primary students leave school,
They walk down the sidewalk and talk with each other.
Choiti says, “Tell me why it warmer every day.”
Shila replies, “Maybe it’s because the sun is getting closer to us every day. Maybe that could be possible. That’s why the sun is brighter and warmer.”
Beside Shila, Rubaiya starts saying, “How can that be possible? The distance from earth to the sun is 92,955,807 miles.
The distance never changes.
How can it become higher or lower?”
From the front, Baki Billah says,
“Only on resurrection day will the sun come closer to us.
In this world, whatever is will remain the same.
But you can say this is a punishment from God.”
Before Baki Billah finishes his speech, Jobaer gives his opinion.
“For me it’s the same.”
Toha says, “Oh my God! How will it be then?”
I ask gently, “How will we be released from this punishment?”
Bindu replies, “We have a path of release.
He who punishes us will give us release.”
Baki Billah sees the way and he declares,
“God says he is very forgiving. If we ask for forgiveness, of course he will forgive us.”
Chapter 2
Bindu is on his way to school with his friends.
Pothik is sitting on the path as Bindu passes by.
He is tending a fire he built to repel the mosquitos.
In this incredible heat,
It becomes unbearably warm with a fire.
It seems like Pothik is frying!
But without the...
