Description

Flight of Fear is the tale of a plot to place a nuclear bomb on a commercial airliner and detonate it over a major US city. A renegade group of North Korean generals, dissatisfied with Kim Jung-Un’s improving relations with the US, has stolen a warhead. They are working with a terrorist Muslim group, based in both the US and Chechnya, who has gained control of an American Airlines flight headed for Seattle. Enroute to the US, the plane makes a quick landing on a small island just off the coast of North Korea and the bomb is loaded. Some clever subterfuge would have enabled the terrorists to allay suspicions if not for a clandestine CIA operation. Forewarned, the Air Force plans to shoot down the plane, including over 300 passengers, before it reaches the US. A courageous group of individuals on the flight, however, have discovered the plot and must retake control before the plane is destroyed. Meanwhile, back in the US, the FBI is infiltrating the terrorist group behind the plot. In the process, one of their agents, working undercover, is discovered. Will the FBI locate and save him in time?

Preface
IT HAD BEEN weeks since they had seen such a beautiful morning. As the sun rose over the sea to the east, it spread its radiant luster over the farm and the forest beyond. Even their modest home shone with the dawn light.
Hyun-Woo and Yung-Hee had been up for hours…..well before their rooster crowed to welcome the coming day. They had fed the chickens and now were boiling water for tea and fixing rice and fish for breakfast.
They had lived on the island all their lives. Hyun-Woo had been born in this very hut and inherited it when his parents had died. Yung-Hee was from the next farm. They had known each other since birth and played together as children. When Yung-Hee was old enough, they had married. That was eight years ago and, although they occasionally argued, they were happy with their life together.
Life on the small island was hard and without many luxuries, but they were satisfied. They survived on rice, fish, eggs and a few vegetables that they grew in their small garden.
There were only three small farms on the island and no one from the mainland bothered them. Occasionally, a military boat would pass by their farm with a few KPA soldiers in it, but they never came ashore.
Soon they would need to awaken Chung-Hee, their six-year-old daughter, and sit down for breakfast.
Hyun-Woo was the first to hear their dog barking. He opened the door to see what had alarmed the dog. At first, he saw nothing but then he spied a small group of KPA soldiers approaching their hut. He nervously stepped outside to greet them and discover their reason for being there.
Hyun-Woo heard the officer, in charge of the soldiers, yell at them to search the hut. He quickly ducked back in and warned Yung-Hee not to panic. It was probably just a routine inspection of the island’s inhabitants.
Within moments, the door was thrown open and three soldiers entered. While two stayed in the room, one brushed past them and went into the small bedroom where Chung-Hee was sleeping. Soon after, he came out dragging the frightened young child behind him.
"All of you, get outside now." barked one of the soldiers.
Chung-Hee grabbed their daughter, who was now crying, as she quickly obeyed their orders. Hyun-Woo followed the
