INTRODUCTION
This is a book of poems to encourage, enlighten and inspire the reader.
Writing about everyday happenings, holidays, parents, grandparents, seasons, love clothing, prayer, and Godliness has been most enjoyable.
My observations come from my heart and my experience in dealing with others.
I pray that you will find solace in some of them and enjoy reading to others. There are also wisdom and principles that God has set up for us to learn and I have tried to share them with you. ENJOY!
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I dedicate this book of poems to those who enjoy reading and writing poetry. I pray you will keep an open mind and heart as you read each poem. Try to let them relate to an area of your life or the life of someone you know.
I also dedicate this book to my family and friends, who encouraged me all the way.
Last but certainly not least, I am thankful to God who enabled me to write these poems. May they be a source of enjoyment to all,
as you give our God the glory.
THE MIND SPEAKS
Our greatness lies within us.
Planted by the one we trust.
When we realized it, oh what gust.
The mind, the soul, the body doth thrust.

Walking in the light of realness.
expecting the most that I can receive.
talking to those I really love.
Enjoying the pleasure, I receive.

Thinking of tomorrow and dreaming of yesterday.
I can live much better when I absorb today.
Reaching for the stars and moon.
Hoping for his wisdom to come real soon.
KEEP A SMILE ON YOUR FACE
No matter what goes wrong, be thankful and keep a smile on your face.
Whenever you are walking or just talking, keep a smile on your face.
Whether the sun is shining, or the rain is downpouring, keep a smile on your face.
If your thoughts are very positive and you keep rightness you will be blessed when you keep a smile upon your face.

When you receive sad news and lose your hope,
keep a smile upon your face.
While it may seem impossible to find peace, keep a smile on your face.
Place your eyes on the prize to reach your destiny, keep a smile on your face.
it will surely make you free in the end.
So, keep a smile on your face.
THE LONELY WALK
Taking a walk all alone
Will help you observe every moan.
Seeking to find solace down a trail.
Will let you know that Jesus never failed.

Give God thanks through the holidays.
And He will bless you in all your ways.
Stay focused and surrender to Him.
So, your life be filled with Him.

Walk on and never look back,
For God specializes your every track.
It won’t be long before you will see,
Alone, you will never be.

The lonely walk will never take place.
If you will join in the heavenly race
Open the door to great opportunity.
Then you will find the solace of thee.
HONOR THY PARENTS
Honor thy parents in every way.
And they would love to hear you say.
“I love you, mom and dad, no joke”.
Because they were there when you awoke.

Spend time with them while you can.
You will be a happy young woman or man.
Look to them for guidance and care.
And they will surely help you fare.

It is good to have parents who love you.
And fun to remember as you should do.
Honor thy parents with grateful glee.
Be glad that you have them, that is my plea.
KINFOLKS
The most precious gem in the world.
Are your siblings, whether boys or girls.
They are loving kinfolks to keep.
Even in your dreams as you sleep.

Treasure them in everything you do.
And they will do the same for you.
Sisters and brothers together in love.
Will make one happy who lives above.

Pair your hands as often as you can make it.
Say it to each other,” come on, you can take it”.
Oh, how happy your parents will be.
To see their whole family together happily.
