Description

Womb Wisdom might sound like a funny title for a book...but all women have them, so why not use it as a place of wisdom? Womb Wisdom encourages you to do exactly that. To look for the answers inside yourself. This book is for all women who have ever doubted their instincts. Who have looked outside themselves for reassurance. Who have wondered who they were and how they could ever be the woman they wanted to be.Raw, open and vulnerable, this collection of poems leads you, unapologetically, on a journey from girl to goddess: as one woman began to believe in herself. Through meeting other women on yoga and meditation retreats and falling in love with herself this girl became a WOMAN!This book is the autobiographical account of the journey Augusta took when disillusioned with life, it tells the tale of how she found, deep within herself, that the only person who can truly make you happy is yourself. Discussing issues such as body image, self-love and comparison she shares her deepest thoughts in such a simple yet poetic way, it will leave you wondering why you never realised it before! Coupled with beautiful visual imagery taking you from seed to blossoming flower, this book should be read by every woman.

Being a Woman
Slut! Bitch! Freak! Whore!
Yet, I’m still the one that they adore.
Lover, fighter: strong salty tears,
Bears the wounds of years and years.
Witch, temptress, she’ll put you under a spell.
Once in her clutches you’ll never rebel.
Nag, clean, cook and keep
House and home, stay down — don’t leap.
To the bedroom with you!
A saint all day — but at night we play.
Yet, men will never know, how much pleasure,
Down below...
As being a woman — a marvellous thing!
Now, my girl, you can begin!
Breathe Together
Fear holds me closed,
Who could enter?
No one knows.
Find I will and find I must,
The man who I can really trust.

Anger next, what have you done?
How dare assume I would succumb.
Not yours, but mine.
No one to blame,
So I remain,
Autonomous: not yours to claim

Stress, stress — get it done!
STOP! GO! Keep on — RUN!
The list too long,
The day is done,
Never remember who you’ve become.
Harmony — it’s over,
Completed — so why do I feel depleted?

Sadness too I can feel,
Nobody with me to enjoy the meal.
Alone, myself, me and I.
Yet comes inspiration, if I try.
New life, creative projects birthed,
I can give back to Mother Earth.
