It was fun playing soccer on our own! No whistles, no shouting--no people to shriek, moan, or groan. I woke up this morning to another great day. What should I do and with whom? Another soccer game with Pete... would that do? Pete and I kicked and ran, and ran and kicked. I scored, he scored. I saved, and he saved. A better time we couldn't have picked.

About the Author
Granryd played as a goalkeeper at the USA collegiate Division 1 and at professional levels. He has served as a director of coaching at the state and club levels, and as a goalkeeper coach at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels. His management career includes Executive Director/General Manager roles in youth clubs and Managing/Operations Director positions in professional teams.
