The excitement and jitters of the first day of school was finally here, with the dreaded feeling of having homework, a bedtime, mixed with the feeling of happiness of seeing old friends and nervousness of what’s to come. Hi, my name is Nadia. I’ll be in the sixth grade this year at Robyn’s Primary School. My brother Nicholas will also be attending the fourth grade here as well.
It was kind of a first-day tradition for Mom to take us to school. As Mom pulled up to the school to park, I could see all the kids moving swiftly to enter the building. Mom and I had already discussed that she didn’t have to walk me to class since I was in the sixth grade. Plus, I already knew who my teacher was because my mom and I came to the open house before school started and found my classroom. My mom, brother, and I said our goodbye’s and I love you’s as we parted ways and went down separate hallways.
