FUN FACTS
The Lion is one of the Big Five cats, others include the Tiger, Jaguar, Leopard and Snow Leopard. They are the only cats that can roar and are also the only big cats to live in groups called prides. Female lions called lionesses do most of the hunting. Male lions are the only big cats with a mane.
The African and the Asian Elephants are traditionally the most recognized elephants in the world. They are the largest living land animal and are famous for their large ears and ivory tusks. Elephants have the largest brain of all land mammals and it weighs just over 11 pounds.
Leopards have distinctive dark spots called rosettes — most leopards are light colored with black spots. Black leopards have dark fur making it difficult to see their spots. These leopards are often called black panthers. Leopards are strong swimmers and can run up to 58km/hr.
