CHAPTER 1
It was a Tuesday afternoon at Astra Public School.
The moment the bell went off, Lee Jin rushed over to the school library.
The librarian, Madam Aziz, had promised him that the new Warren Wee and the Super Striker Force book would be ready for loan.
The title was Warren Wee and the Crazy Clone Conundrum .
Lee Jin loved the Warren Wee series of books. Which explained why he was the only student in the library at lunchtime, his nose buried in the pages, his imagination working overtime as he tried to picture every scene in the captivating story.

Lee Jin was reading this -

The Planet Earth Junior All Stars were playing an important match against the Junior team from Planet 7878-b, in Solar System Nostradomae. This team was officially known in the league as Nostra Nitro Junior Power Shots.
They were one of the top alien teams in the Intergalactic Football League. It might have something to do with the fact that their players had four legs each, with knee joints that could bend in every direction. This always came in useful on the field.
There had been complaints in the past that this gave them an unfair advantage. But the Intergalactic Football League was committed to promoting intergalactic diversity and inter-species acceptance, and so the Nostra Nitro team were allowed to keep their place in the competition.
Planet Earth Junior All Stars had to win this game by at least three goals in order to qualify for the next round.
Warren Wee was the youngest and most talented football player in the Planet Earth squad. He was the star striker. And also the team captain. Everyone counted on him to get the goals.
He played his heart out. But you couldn t say the same about his team mates.
They fumbled all the time. Some even tripped over themselves. It was a terrible performance. No wonder they ended up losing to Nostra Nitro Junior Power Shots.
Final score: 7-nil.
As his team dragged themselves back to the changing rooms, Warren was furious.
He ran in front of them and started to shout.
Hey! Did you guys trade your brains for marbles just now? That was the lousiest performance I ve ever seen.
Sheila Algusveer, their extremely tall and broad goalkeeper, was offended.
It wasn t my fault! You failed to score. I d say you re the one who messed up the most. Your passing was pathetic.
Their lanky defender, Mukthaji, agreed with her.
You re such a show-off, Warren, he said. The Nostra Nitro players were all over you. You couldn t even dribble the ball close to their goal area.
Warren heard the other players muttering. They agreed with Mukthaji. Their loss today was Warren s fault, not theirs.
As the team captain, Warren felt that it was his responsibility to do something. But what? Two days after he got back to Earth, he received a video call.
The alert on his video phone read, Incoming call from DR SKEETCHIRUGGH , and the profile photo showed a young woman with a big hairdo.
Warren didn t recognise the caller s ID or profile photo. He thought this might perhaps be the new team doctor that the Planet Earth Football Authority had hired. He quickly used his fingers to comb his hair flat, and then he took the call.
Dr Skeetchiruggh was extremely polite. She had a soft, charming voice. Excuse me, but are you the football celebrity, Warren Wee?
Warren felt a surge of pride. He wished his team mates could be present to hear this. Yes, can I help you?
Dr Skeetchiruggh smiled. Oh, it s more like the other way around. I can help you.
She leaned in towards the camera on her phone and lowered her voice. I heard you were having cooperation problems with your Planet Earth Junior All Stars players. I can help you get suitable replacements.
Replace his team members? Warren would never dream of doing something like that. They were his team mates, and team mates were supposed to stick together through difficulties.
But there was something in Dr Skeetchiruggh s voice that made him want to find out more.
After all, there was nothing wrong with that, was there?
Your replacement players, Warren asked, how good are they?
Dr Skeetchiruggh had been waiting for Warren to pose this very question. As good as you are, she replied confidently, because they will BE you.
She laughed when she saw the look of astonishment on Warren s face. I ll help you make five clones of yourself so that they can replace your team mates in the coming Transgalactic Super Junior six-a-side tournament, Dr Skeetchiruggh explained. In return, you ll pay me half of whatever prize money you earn. Deal?
CHAPTER 2
Lee Jin was just finishing Chapter 14 of the book when he heard someone make a rude sound behind him.
He glanced over his shoulder. It was Deena and she was standing at the entrance to the library.
Deena was a strange girl who also happened to be a super football player. She was probably better than Lee Jin, although you would never be able to get him to admit this.
Pssst! she went again, all the while glaring at Lee Jin.
Lee Jin frowned at her and shook his head. Shhh!
To his surprise, Deena rolled her eyes. She jerked her right thumb over her shoulder, indicating that Lee Jin should step out of the library for a moment.
Psst! Pssst! she continued, trying to get Lee Jin to move from his seat.
Just then, Lee Jin noticed a towering shape rise from behind a stack of books at the far end of the library.
