Two farm cats , Tibbs and Ginger, lay curle d up half asleep in a shady corner of the farmyard . Tibbs yawned . “What a lazy d a y. It is so bo ring living here. I wish that I could do something really exciting”. Ginger e njoyed a lo ng s tretch a nd t hen s cratched b ehind his ear. “If i t something exciting you want then why d on’t you apply to be Cynthia’s appren tice?” he asked. Now Tibbs had h eard about Cynthi a. She was a witch who took ca re o f a ny o f t he c reatures th at l ived in W itchety Woods sho u l d t hey beco me sick. “Wh a t woul d I have to do?” asked Tibbs. “Just sit on the end of he r b roomstick and carry her Medical Bag,” replie d Ginger. Tibbs had never ridden on a broomstick before and liked the idea of flying high in the s ky amongst the sun, moon and stars. He s a id “goodb y e” t o Ginger and w a lked the short distance to Cynthia’s cottage.
