How to Enlarge Instruction Diagrams
O ccasionally, in the instructions, you will find a diagram printed on a grid; this is to help you draw the required shape to the correct size. The following notes explain how to use the grid.

1. On the printed grid you will see the size of one square marked by arrows. This is the size each square must be when you draw your grid.
2. First mark out the correct number of upright lines near the top of your paper or card and then do the same near the bottom.
3. Pencil in the upright lines using a ruler to keep them straight.

4. Use a set square to draw the top line of your grid. Place the ruler against it if it is not big enough.
5. Measure out the correct number of horizontal lines starting with the one you have just drawn, then pencil them in.
6. Now draw the shape onto your grid square by square. As an example, go back to drawing No. 1. You will see that the outline starts on the second square down. It goes horizontally across two squares, begins to go up on the third square, then goes right up into the top line at the fourth square and so on.
1 Doggy Dog

Materials Required
Three Squares of stiff paper 6″ × 6″
Cotton Wool
Glue

Turn over and fold points JKLM into centre as shown.

Turn over again and open out lines IN/HN/GN/FN as shown.

Now flatten out as diagram.

Fold points JKLM down as shown to make legs.

Now pull one side (G) out as shown and the opposite side (I).

Fold along line FX and tuck in Z. Repeat on other side. Repeat instructions 1 to 7 for two more sections

Fit the three sections together as shown, and decorate with cotton wool. Bend points 1,2 up for ears, 3, 4, 5 and 6 down for legs.
2 Cloth Bag

Materials Required
Wire coat hanger
Piece of strong cloth 32″ × 16″
Two pieces of coloured ribbon 9″ long

Sew both squares together, along dotted lines, with the best side inwards.

Cut off excess cloth, and turn bag inside out.

Make a small hole in the top for the hook of the cost hanger.

Put hanger inside bag through slit, and push hook through hole at top of bag.

Sew the edges of the ribbons to the edges of the slits. Sew inside and outside.

Your bag is now ready to fill with pegs and hang on the line.

You can also use your bag to keep your toys or shoes in.

Leaf Prints

Collect as many different leaves as you can. If they are crinkly, flatten them in a book.
