WELCOME TO REALITY!
Welcome to reality, where we spit bars of knowledge, creating future stars. Have you circumventing the bars? Society tells you to be like athletes, rappers, and movie stars.
Most of them have you selling drugs, chasing brand names to get knocked and then you end up behind bars. Gated with a barbed-wire fence, stop working for pennies and cents; $5 a week, don’t make sense.
The game of life is complicated, it’s already dictated and America’s trying to duplicate it. Videos and social media turn off your focus, distorts your mind and now things seem really complicated. Cell phones, video games, Facebook, Insta, sexting while texting, Twitter, Voxer , Skype got you caught up on the hype! They are twerking on TikTok, some got skits but everybody wants to see the videos while she drops it like it’s hot.
So what is reality? It’s the authenticity of what is real, official, like realism!
Like when you flip the pages to learn history, we shine light on the mystery, take away the impossible, so the undefeated becomes winless. I’m talking about opportunities, where opportunities are endless; music videos are hyped, let’s end this. Education brightens, helps you understand what you are fighting for! A J-O-B or a higher SAT score.
Welcome to Reality helps you understand Global structure, the paradigm. When you see life in its true form, you’ll understand that this is Babylon, the life and death of murder and crime. Got the uneducated kids on the block; thugs sell to get knocked, to share jail cells; alcoholics at the P-Store, the hungry kids looking to score, the man behind the bodies, caused your kid to get popped. It don’t stop, shorty used to be hot, but once the drugs entered her system, the beauty stopped. Now she’s looking for somebody running the block; the modelings over, she becomes the stash house, turned crackhouse; 4 kids and one died from SIDS, other 3 uncared for, 3 baby daddies and two of them, two of them are doing a bid!
Society’s bent, money funnels around the hood not through it, so it’s hard to pay the rent. Your son hits the block to eat, rockin’ $250 shoes on his feet. Your daughter dresses like a young thot, getting picked up by grown men when she walks the block.
Where’s the structure in the crib? Babies going straight to the streets. The Life and times of the inner city, because, “This is how we live.”
Abandoned buildings, crack house for the users Some kids try to get out, want to get educated, looking for a career, but get pulled back in by the losers. The Dream Snatchers, the ones who never had a shot, because they’re always trying to get ova. The kid that raps on the block, his boys telling him, “You gonna be the next Hova.” The kid that lives in the bricks, driving a Range; get the picture; it’s like wearing a fitted that don’t fit ya.
Welcome to Reality, where those in uniform control the norm, extravagant with your wealth, causing them to rain on your parade with a quietstorm, Blacks getting handcuffed becomes the norm.
Welcome to Reality is sounding the alarm.
First thing I want you to do is, fall back, lose the marijuana, alcohol and crack, snitches wear wires for that. Books up and guns down, education will inform you of your rights to avoid being locked down. Eliminate the streets, lose the video games; stop chasing the brand names, work, save to invest. Read to succeed, lay off the tattoos, and tighten your screws,
Avoid being victimized by the news, select, pick and choose, educated kids to be in your crews. You’re not in a gang, stop trying to gang bang, life is not about your youthful years, it’s when you become grown and can’t find a job, can’t take care of your FAM, Society is not going to be sensitive to the tears, it’s the formality.
Wake up FAM! Welcome to Reality!

LIFE IN THE HOOD

A CRY FOR HELP
Thirty-two (32) murders in a small but deadly city – New Haven, call it the Elm, it’s unclear.
Teardrop flows off the cheeks of too many chocolate faces of fear. Murdered lives, become the norm; open caskets, sad folks draped in black gear.
The color of redrum spelled backwards, because of the color of green; financial greed to a dope fiend, no cameras, but death is all around; funerals created by the black face on the TV screen.
Silent voices, don’t tell but love to speak, strengthen the criminal, ignore the weak, unless it’s your family member, murdered and tossed in the polluted creek.
You can’t live in a shell, you pulled back the hammer; you released that hot slug that entered the body of an honor student, no snitching means to protect the thug.
Shopping for gear to wear to the wake, but wait, I gotta get this hustle so I could be straight! Dude couldn’t wait to pop a cat for his dough so he could buy weight.
While the hood is scared of a kid that’s really scared, so the perpetrator runs. Every time he sees a cop, his heartbeat slugs that he loads into his gun
