O ne beautiful day in May I was out watering my flowers and noticed an unfamiliar cat between my neighbor’s house and mine. She was a pretty cat and I had not seen her before but didn’t pay much attention to her. Over the next week I saw her again and again, I began to wonder if she had a home. I tried to get close to her but without success. Then I put out food and water because I couldn’t stand to see her all alone. After a few days of giving her food I was able to get up to her and saw that she was very, very thin.
My husband and I talked about what to do because we really didn’t want another cat. We have one named Delilah who is about sixteen years old and knew that she would not be happy with this intruder. We took a picture of the new cat and I made a flyer, then went all around the neighborhood trying to find her owner.
