SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: CATEGORY The device is an electronic weight indicator that, when interfaced to an approved and compatible weighing element, becomes a weighing system. DESCRIPTION The device is a microprocessor base weight indicator with the following features: 6 digit, 7 segment, 0.75" LED display, numeric keypad and LED indicators for modes and functions.It can be powered by an AC/DC power supply adapter,an internal AC supply or a DC battery pack (6 “D” cell alkaline batteries).The enclosure may be either NEMA 4 ABS plastic or NEM4X stainless steel for hostile environment.This device can be wall mounted or placed on top of a desk.

DESCRIPTION SOMMAIRE: CATÉGORIE Il s’agit d’un indicateurs pondéral électronique c.a. qui, lorsque relié à un élément de pesage compatible et approuvé, constitue un ensemble de pesage. DESCRIPTION Il s’agit d’un indicateur pondéral piloté par microprocesseur ayant les caractéristiques suivantes : affichage DÉL de 0,75 po à 6 chiffres de 7 segments, bloc de touches numériques et indicateurs DÉL pour les modes et fonctions. Il peut être alimenté par un adaptateur c.a./c.c., une alimentation c.a. interne ou un bloc de piles (6 piles de format D). Le boîtier peut être en plastique ABS NEMA 4 ou en acier inoxydable NEMA 4X pour milieu hostile. Cet appareil peut être installé au mur ou placé sur un pupitre.

L’opérateur lance les commandes par l’entremise d’un clavier à membrane offrant les choix suivants:

Annunciators are provided forZERO(represented by “c” on the upper left corner ofthe display), ID, PROGRAM, kg, g, lb, oz, TAREandNET.

SLEEP MODE This mode is applicable only to the battery powered devices. Thetime before the indicator goes into the sleep mode, can be set in the “BATT “ menu. If zero selected while in “BATT “ menu , indicator will not go to sleep, otherwise selecting a number, will be the length of time before indicator goes into sleep mode. When the indicator goes to sleep, dashes appear on the display and the center of zero annunciator is lit.If the platform is disturbed or the indicator drifts off zero, the indicator returns to the normal weighing mode.

MODE SOMMEIL

Le mode sommeil ne s’applique qu’aux indicateurs alimentés par piles. La temporisation du mode sommeil est réglable à partir du menu BATT. Si l’on sélectionne zéro, l’indicateur ne se met pas en mode sommeil; la sélection d’un autre nombre correspond à la temporisation du mode sommeil. Lorsque l’indicateur se met en mode sommeil, des tirets apparaissent à l’afficheur, et le voyant central ou de zéro est allumé. Si l’on touche à la plateforme ou si l’indicateur dérive de zéro, l’indicateur revient au mode de pesage normal.

POWER MODE After the indicator goes to sleep, the indicator powers down after a fixedtime interval if no activity has occurred.

AUDIT TRAIL The indicator has a Category 1 audit trail.To view calibration audit trail information:

push “program” button, display says “info”

push “enter”, display says “counts”

push “scroll” button until display says “s audit”

push “enter” button, display is the counter number for 2 to 3 seconds, then the last date of calibration is displayed, then “hrdcpyAt this point a report may be” is displayed. printed by pushing the “p” button.If a report is printed, the display changes to “io”, from here push “scroll” until display returns to normal weight display.

MODE ÉCONOMIE D’ÉNERGIE

Une fois en mode sommeil, l’indicateur se met hors tension s’il n’y a aucune activité pendant un intervalle fixe.

REGISTRE D’ÉVÉNEMENTS

L’indicateur dispose d’un registre d’événements de catégorie 1. Pour visionner l’information relative à l’étalonnage dans le registre d’événements:

appuyer sur le bouton «program», «info» apparaît sur l’afficheur

appuyer sur «enter», «counts» apparaît sur l’afficheur

appuyer sur le bouton «scroll» jusqu’à ce que «s audit» apparaisse sur l’afficheur

appuyer sur «enter», le numéro du compteur apparaît pendant 2 à 3 secondes, puis la dernière date d’étalonnage suivie de «hrdcpy». Il est possible d’imprimer un rapport à ce moment en appuyant sur le bouton «p». Si un rapport est imprimé, l’afficheur indiquera alors «io», de là appuyer sur «scroll» jusqu’à ce que l’afficheur retourne à l’affichage pondéral habituel.

For configuration audit trail information, follow the same procedure until “s auditAt this point scroll” is displayed. one more step and“c audt” is displayed.Follow same procedure as for calibration information.

SEALING Access to the means of adjustment and configuration parameters is protected by an audit trail.However, a physical seal may also be applied by threading a wire seal through the heads of2 screws that secure the two halves of the enclosure.This seal does not protect any metrological parameters, but ensures that nothing inside the enclosure can be changed without breaking the seal.

REVISION The purpose of revision 1 is to add the DC option and a new ON/OFF key.

Pour la configuration des renseignements du registre d’événements, suivre la même procédure jusqu’à ce que «s audit» apparaisse. À ce moment, se déplacer d’encore un niveau et «c audt» apparaît. Suivre la même procédure que celle pour l’information relative à l’étalonnage. SCELLEMENT L’accès aux ajustements et aux paramètres d’initialisation est protégé par un registre d’événements. Cependant, un scellé matériel peut aussi être apposé en enfilant un fil métallique à travers les têtes de 2 vis qui bloquent les deux moitiés du boîtier. Ce scellé ne protège aucun paramètre métrologique, mais assure que rien à l’intérieur du boîtier ne peut être changé sans que le scellé ne soit brisé.
