The proposal would require each financial institution to develop, implement, andmaintain appropriate measures to properly dispose of consumer information derived fromconsumer reports to address the risks associated with identity theft. Each institution would berequired to implement these measures as part of its information security program.The Board must receive comments by July 23, 2004. Please address comments toJennifer J.
