The Postal Service has annual operating revenue of nearly $73 billion and more than 700,000 employees. It delivers over 212 billion pieces of mail each year, representing more than 46 percent of the world’s mail, to 144 million delivery points. It has over 38,000 facilities and 214,000 vehicles. To deliver world-class service, the Postal Service must excel in performing its core business processes of accepting, processing, transporting and delivering the mail, as well as marketing postal products and services.
