Horvath Chief Privacy Officer and Civil Liberties Officer Department of Justice (202) 514-0049 Page 2 Introduction The Debtor Audit Management System (DAS) was developed in FY 2006 for deployment in early FY 2007. This new system will manage the selection of cases for the random and non-random audits required under the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCPA) to be implemented as of October 20, 2006. The new system will also facilitate the audit assignment process, tracking the progress/results of the audits as well as the management of the payment of the outside auditors. The DAS shares data with the USTP Case Management System (ACMS) to ensure case data is current and accurate and to streamline data entry.
