The book of Malachi is the last book in the Old Testament and was written after the Jews had returned from exile and rebuilt their temple. These passages contain instructions to the Israelites to be consistent in their worship of God and not to forsake Him in times of difficulty. Malachi prophesies of the consequences of turning away from God and urges the Israelites to stay faithful to Him.
