Barry and Lori have keys to bring healing, breakthrough, and restoration in marriages. Their vulnerability and transparency are disarming, while the truth that they walk in cuts right to the core. They have a message of a powerful God who is capable of redeeming all situations and relationships, regardless of the history. The Lord is breathing on LAM (Love After Marriage) and we continue to hear testimony after testimony of the amazing fruits of their ministry.

Barry and Lori Byrne’s impact on marriages is undeniable. God has raised them up in this critical hour where it seems that all hope has been lost for marriages. Everywhere we turn it seems as though another marriage has failed, and yet I believe God is restoring hope for marriage. Within this book is a refreshing and redemptive approach to love and commitment that will strengthen your own relationship with your spouse and release grace for your family. Barry and Lori’s ministry is powerful not only because of the truths they teach but also because their lives are the very message. I thank God for Barry and Lori, and I know my marriage is stronger and healthier because of them.

Barry and Lori are some of the foremost marriage leaders of our day. The dramatic change in the lives of people they work with is consistently miraculous. These two create a level of intimacy, transparency and vulnerability between couples who have been married for years that is surprising to even those who thought they had a good marriage. I highly recommend their book and anything else you can get your hands on by these two gifted leaders.

Barry and Lori Byrne have had an exceptionally positive impact on our culture here at Bethel Church. We have watched God use them to restore literally hundreds of marriages over the last several years. Their ministry is really unique. Their transparency is disarming, their passion is inspiring, and their own relationship is a powerful message to anyone who is living in a dysfunctional or boring relationship. Love After Marriage is more than a book; it’s a training manual for everyone longing for an extraordinary love affair with their spouse and it is a marriage manifesto for couples that are interested in strengthening their relationship with one another. We highly recommend this book to everyone; whether you’re considering marriage for the first time or you have been married for many years, this book will rock you!

There is a movement happening in marriages. God is reclaiming what has been lost and redeeming what has deteriorated the family system, as we know it. When there is a generation of passionate husbands and wives, inevitably there will also be true fathers and mothers. And when there are mothers and fathers instilling an identity of love, acceptance and vision to a generation of children, the tares of destruction from the enemy will become the spoils of victory for the family of God. We dedicate this book to the restoration of marriages around the world .

FOREWORD
By Bill and Beni Johnson
Healthy marriages are living testimonies that reveal the nature and heart of God. When done correctly, marriages influence culture, help set values and priorities for generations, and create an awareness of the One to whom we will give an account of our lives. But when done incorrectly, they pervert and distort a nation’s concept of God. They turn its focus to self-preservation, all while legitimizing things that were intolerable only a generation earlier.
The power of marriage is found in the beauty of unity in the midst of celebrated diversity. Two are only better than one if they are united; when they are divided, two are actually less than one. That is how this life was designed. Perhaps with that equation, we can see how a society falls so quickly into barrenness and loss. It’s tough to survive when we go from two to less than one over and over again.
Barry and Lori Byrne have recognized the heart of God for marriages and families. In turn, they have put their lives out in front for everyone to see so that they might be a help to others. Their honesty and transparency are disarming and inviting, yet sobering. Theirs is a “no holds barred” approach to getting people well. And it works.
Love After Marriage has been born out of their journey for health in their own lives. The discoveries recorded in this book are sure to have a powerful impact on relationships for many years to come. This book is both inspiring and raw in all the right ways.
Good books provide insights to inform and stories to inspire. But great books, like Love After Marriage , give one more element that makes them potentially transformational in nature: tools. Simple tools, born out of wisdom, can help nudge the otherwise helpless couple into a time of life-changing discovery. This book takes the participant on a journey of discovering God, His goodness, His practical passion for us and all our relationships, His wisdom and the role we get to play. It is self-discovery in the right sense, without the shame or the “me first” attitude that nauseates us all. It is eye opening in an exhilarating way. It is an invitation to live—to really live!
These tools will successfully equip anyone who is willing to pursue healthy relationships. While the focus is on marriage, many of the tools will actually equip people for all the relational aspects of life. We must first be well, and then we must be the ones who bring a message of hope to the dying marriages all around us. We’ve been given the task of bringing tools to those who just don’t know how to do it right.
Beni and I are amazed by the wisdom that God has given to Barry and Lori. Their Love After Marriage materials have been extremely effective in bringing wholeness and healing to couples—actually, more than we have ever seen with any other materials or events. The impact on our own church family has been phenomenal. We have seen the results that come out of who they are and what they do . It is amazing, a pastor’s dream, really. People get well—really, really well.
Some who pick up this book may be thinking, There is no hope in my situation . This book could be a lifesaver, literally, for you and others who have been buried in
