What Readers Are Saying About Sally John
The Other Way Home series:
A Journey by Chance My favorite author has done it again! Many household chores went undone as I sat, unable to resist the urge to keep turning the pages. The characters were unique, yet believable, and stayed with me long after I finished the novel. I loved the contrast of circumstances and events taking place between a mothers life and her daughters. I just didnt want the story to end and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series! Deborah Piccurelli
I couldnt put this book down!! I am so anxious to read the next book in this series. It is such a personal story for each of the characters that you can relate and feel for each and every one of them (I even wished I could read Bradys books!!) Keep up the good work of entertaining and spreading the news of Gods love. Anita Carbaugh
After starting to readA Journey by Chance,I found myself not able to put the book down. Sally does such a wonderful job of making you feel as if you know the characters person ally.The story line is very interesting and deals with reallife issues. I have read all of her books thus far and have never been disappointed. Amber Karns
After All These Years
The message of sin, repentance, and forgiveness is found on nearly every page of Sally Johns thoroughly readable book. A tinge of suspense only heightens the readers interest and hesitation to put this book down until completed. John has
done a good job to develop not only the main characters, but the secondary characters as well. The characters struggles with sin in their lives allow for the gospel to be presented throughout in a nonintrusive, very natural way. Christian Library Journal
Another great story by Sally John, full of life and living! I love her characters and description of the lovely town the story is set inshe makes you feel like you can see the town and be friends with the characters. Narelle Mollet
Just to See You Smile
I finishedJust to See You Smilein practically one sitting, drawn in by characters and stories that lived with me for days afterward.
Sally Johns characters are knights with rusty armor and princesses with rumpled gowns. They are men and women like us who may be marred by wounds and choices, yet who courageously move forward to honor Christ and deepen loving relationships.
Young women readers would do well to learn from Britte. She enjoyed singleness with contentment and fruitfulness, and then she trusted God for an expanded heart when He sur prised her with new adventures in love. Alec and Annes rediscovery of a marriage blending healthy boundaries and sacrificial commitments inspired me more than a dozen how to marriage manuals. Margo Balsis
The Winding Road Home
Sally John, one of my new favorite authors, takes characters Id love to have as close friends and places them in a town where I would love to live, but she doesnt stop there. She
weaves the lives of these wonderful people into my heart, so that by the time Im finished reading about them, Im laughing with them, crying with them, and hoping theyll invite me along for the ride again. Hannah Alexander, author ofHideaway
Through tears and laughter, Sally John paints a lush tale of two womens quests to find happiness, instead finding true love when they least expected it. From the first page to the final word, I could not put Ms. Johns book down. The Romance Readers Connection (www.theromancereadersconnection.com)
I could read a hundred more books with these characters in them. God has truly blessed Sally John with a wonderful talent. Christen Ralich
In a Heartbeat series:
In a Hearbeat
In a Heartbeatis the first book in Sally Johns exciting new series. This poignant tale of infertility, one of the bigger and more painful issues facing our society today, weaves a story of triumph over tragedy in the lives of a firefighter and his wife. Filled with warmth and romance with a heroic theme, this compelling novel will touch your heart. Beautifully written, Sally has created believable characters who not only will become your friends, but will have a profound effect on your own life. Dont miss this intriguing story with a heart! Like me, youll be waiting for the next book in Sallys In a Heartbeat series. Susan Wales, bestselling author, speaker, and producer

For Tim, my hero bold
Acknowledgments
As with all my work, this book is like a pot of stew. I simply gathered ingredients from a variety of sources and mixed them together. Without everyones contribution, this particular flavor never would have been captured. However, if you come across a spoonful of disagreeable gustatory sensation, please blame the chef. My thanks to: Matt Shoemaker, graphic designer with Harvest House Pub lishers and firefighter with the Monroe, Oregon, Fire Department. Thank you for graciously, generously sharing your expertise, insight, suggestions, and reallife experiences. Your direction, as always, has been invaluable. Carolyn McCready and Barb Sherrill, of Harvest House, for your special touches on this one. Everyone at Harvest House.
